Great book for the serious student of landscape design!

This is a great book for the aspiring landscape architect. Unlike other
books on the subject of landscape design, this book in particular goes into great detail concerning the design process. Because it doesn't assume you know the basics of landscape design, it's perfect for someone like myself, who doesn't know quite where to begin with the process.
This book deals with making the base map for a lot, taking accurate measurments, recording the measurements, the different design themes, how to explore different designs on paper, and much more.
Be warned though, this isn't a book designed for the casual reader but for interested students of the landscape design trade. If you're only slightly interested in landscape architecture, this book may intimidate or bore you.
I think it would have been refreshing to have a few color photographs interspursed throughout the many pages of text and black and white diagrams. That would be my only complaint about this book though.
