i am a fanatic for resident evil, so i want every game made for the series. i knew from the start that resident evil survivor is far from being an amazing game, but for true resident evil fans it deserves to be picked up and played. for playstation 1 or psx the graphics are slightly above that of resident evil 2 but doesnt provide much insight into the character you play and so there is little attachment to the story/ies and the characters, but it does give bits and pieces of history and understanding of the whole resident evil universe which im not going to give away. even if you have heard all the bad things about the game, if ur a true fan its worth picking up, you miss out if you dont.

I AM A BIG FAN OF RESIDENT EVIL. THIS IS THE FIRST RESIDENT EVIL GAME I HAVE PLAYED WITH A FIRST PERSON VIEW, WHICH IS TOTALLY COOL. I CAN'T SAY A BAD THING ABOUT IT.

This is the first Resident Evil FPS and with that in mind it's not bad. If you're not an FPS fan pick up Resident Evil 2 instead. The controls are a mess. Most games require you to hold and press a button instead of just pressing one. This is the shortest RE game I've ever played clocking in at around 45 Minutes so this game is SHORT. The Zombie, Licker, and charcater graphics are exactly the same as Resident Evil 2. This may be the first game to have Lickers and Hunters as enemies but even so it's not the best. The story is practically non-existent as well. If you are a die-hard RE fan like I am pick up this game. You'll get an hour of enjoyment for a few bucks if you overlook Story, design, and graphics. I've seen much better FPS games so this games gets a 3 out of 5.

In some ways it was entertaining, but overall, it was probably a waste of time. your main character Ark, wakes up from a helicopter crash, not really remembering anything. from various sources that he encounters, he believes hes a bad guy name Vincent.

the game immediately starts out in first person view mode in an alley. there are two to three places that you can choose to go in sections of the city. For example, when you start you can either go into the resturant or church, i forgot the other one or if its just another side to the resturant but you can't go in both, you have to choose one at a time and then when youre done with that place, it takes you to the next area. thats how it will be once you get to certain areas, like after you complete the first part, you're faced with the options of going to an Arcade store, the hospital or a mansion and then you move on from there. Get it?

every weapon that you pick up, i believe provides infinite ammo. the music is average, though it does keep up the suspense sometimes. the graphics are not really worth whining about it, its just the story and dialouge that seem to mess it up.

the characters body tone while they talk seems to repeat which makes it tough to watch their whole conversation since they're acting like robots on repeat mode.

The first person view really doesnt help at all, becuase you can't really see your surroundings, plus your enemies are always around you, they are not in front of you every single time.

youre enemies range from resident evil to Resident evil 2, meaning you'll have the lickers, hunters, dogs, average zombies, and even Mr. X. you'll get a BUNCH of Mr. X's that drop stuff for you, plus your regular Tyrant in the end.

its worth a shot if you dont mind having the game.

This is the worst resident evil game to made, there was no thought put into this game, some say it was hard to play, it was super easy took me an hour to complete without even trying. My advice, buy it if you want the collecton but don't buy it if you want a nice game to play.

I've always loved Resident Evil but Survivor why did Capcom even think about making this game. First of all the storyline was STUPID. The graphics were not that great. And you could beat the game in about an hour. And it was EASY to beat. Although the ending was pretty cool. But how many lives does the Tyrant have he keeps coming back.
In the ORIGINAL Resident Evil, not Director's Cut you blow him up. And the main character who the hell is that, were did he come from. But it's not bad rent it DON'T buy it. And please don't pay over $10.00 for it's not worth it. Trust me.

I would never give resident evil game 1 out of 5 because i'm such a big fan although this game pushes to the limit theres only one desirable factor it only takes about 30 minutes to an hour to complete which means if you do want to complete it won't take long. The controls are a mess the cross air you aim with is far to small and try as hard as you can you just cant die i was so bored once i just let lickers attack me it took about 15 hits before you even get your health knocked down. Fans like me will probably buy it because its so cheap just to see what happens but if you want an even cheaper alternative just look up the story on the internet. I'm just thankfully resident evil first person shooters got better as time went on if you want a better shooter just buy Dead aim which isn't perfect but its far far better than this shambles
or if you have a WII then try Umbrella Chronicels which is the first Resident Evil shooter that Capcom have really got right 100% right thankyou.

thsi is my hubbys game he could play this for a long time. he begged me for this game. i finally gave in. it is a very fun game. it will keep him busy. im very glad we found it so cheap.

This game is first person shooter, and the targeting is hard to control. The story line is ok, but I still like the racoon city versions better.From a collecters point its a must have.

Not the best Resident Evil game...but still good for any fan of the series. Has an interesting story line and is fun to play.

Great games but takes awhile to play, only when you get to the end you get to save:takes about 1.5 hours to finish

the game is for the ps1 and the graphics are not the greatest and there are not as many save points as i wouldve liked. though i got the game to complete the series and was overall saisfied the game i recomend it to any RE fans

I bought this game a few month ago and this game is very horror ,suspenceful and mind blowing game.If your looking for a challenge this game is for you,its a little bit hard once you got in to the game,you'll be suprised,what's will on the ending and you still really want to play more.I'd recommend this game to anyone,who is a fan of horror games.
