Resident Evil (DVD, 2004, Deluxe Edition)

I loved this movie and the futuristic ideas. Perfect take off from the game. I have also watch Resident Evil II and it was fantastic too, but your missing out if you don't watch this one first.

Had to buy this since again since my original copy doesn't play anymore. If you like horror movies and Resident Evil the video game in particular, then this is a must have. Terrific as a movie in it's own right, but yet true to the story it was based upon.

Great movie. One of the best videogame to big screen movies. Very hightech spin on the 'zombie' movie.

I didn't review the movie myself, but I heard it is a sci-fi movie. My son asked for this movie, because he couldn't find it anywhere else. He and his fiance seemed to like it.

This was a very interesting movie... they took the story from the first game... and went the "zero" route... it seems this movie is what happened before chris and jill went into the mansion. this movie is house the zombies got out of the "basement". Really good film, Definitely a MUST for any movie fan... and with the Deluxe Edition (green cover) you get an alternate ending... which is basically pretty awesome... i would give this an excellent... but it strays from the original storyline of the game... and i am not a fan of that... same with spiderman 3... so to any writer/director reading this... STICK TO THE STORY...DON'T FANCY IT UP WITH YOUR "HOLLYWOOD"

good movie to start off the resident evil movie series. great actors and animation for a more low budget movie. a good window into the other movies in the series potential.

Residnet Evil is a decent movie. With the Deluxe Edition all you get is a new ending that really isn't as good as the one they got now. So if you own the original Sepcial Edition just go ahead and keep it.

First in a series of 3 so far, great action flic , mixed with a lot of Zombies! Lots of action and the special effects are great!

This is my personal favorite zombie movie, its just fun to watch, stay away from the sequals especially the third. If you want a scary, fun, gory horror movie this is the way to go.

this is a good film that is based on the epic video game series. Mila Jovovich cements herself as the bad ass, zombie killing machine which sets up the following sequels.

I bought the Resident Evil DVD a while ago and I love it! that storyline is fantastic and will keep you on the edge of your seat! I had already seen it once but I couldn't stop watching because its so interesting. The DVD also included special features such as an alternative ending to the movie, visual effects and so much more! I am so happy that I bought this DVD. if you are into Zombie movies and thrillers this is a DVD you NEED to get!I would most defiantly encourage all fans of Zombie movies to get this movie!

After Sony and Capcom rejected zombie genre director George A. Romero’s script in 1999, Director Paul W.S. Anderson was selected to take over the reigns of the Resident Evil production which was somewhat inspired by its video game counterpart as well as the Disney fairytale, Alice in Wonderland.

Overall, Resident Evil was an entertaining movie from start to finish as it had a little bit of everything, including a foundation for a sequel (which turned out to be 2004’s Resident Evil Apocalypse). I especially liked the scene transition using a digital schematic of the Umbrella Corporation’s research facility known as the “The Hive.”

Check it out! But if you are a diehard Resident Evil videogame player, you will need to divest yourself first of Resident Evil cannon in order truly enjoy its cinematic interpretation which clearly stands on its own.

This product works real well and I didn't have any problems with it. It was a great deal. It was one of the best things I've ever bought on ebay. Cheap price. I love the movie cause it has a lot of action. And I'm a big fanatic of zombie movies. Resident Evil is one of the best zombie movies ever. It has a lot of terror. It's trillin'.

Good story line. Excellent special F/X. Made me want to watch the sequel. Gives a new twists on the future and how society will evolve.

Based off Capcom's acclaimed video game series, Resident Evil follows a similar storyline about a corporation known as "Umbrella" that created a virus that re-animates the brain. The main character Alice awakes in a mansion to find out that the main branch of the corporation is underneath it. Going into further detail will ruin the movie, but if you're a fan of the Resident Evil series or just zombies, this movie is a must have.
