Resident Evil 4 -- A must have

This re-released game (originally from the Nintendo Gamecube) has just grown better with time. Still zesty, this shooter game is not only a must have for R.E. fans, but for any Wii owner. The controls are masterful and using the Wiimote as a gun comes naturally. I would categorize this game into the "horror adventure" genre. You fend yourself from crowds zombies in spooky scenes, and often frantic situations. Even if you've never played a game this dark, you will love it, and perhaps gain a whole new respect for these types of games.
The Resident Evil series was my first Survival Horror. I had played it on my friends console, and immediately I was sucked into the engaging (and somewhat difficult) fight scenes. About 10 years later, with Resident Evil 4, this passion was reignited in me. The time is now, on the Wii, to experience a timeless game that will deliver fantastic gameplay every single second. Also, the game lasts a good while too... It took me about 30 accumulative hours to complete this game on the NORMAL difficulty. And even though I'm an experienced gamer, a lot of this time was spent exploring the map, searching for items, and enhancing my character.
Graphics -- On a Nintendo scale I would give it a 9/10. Definitely ranked amongst the best graphics for the Wii.
Controls -- Basically flawless. Its a little annoying reaching your thumb up to the control pad to change your view, but thats not the games fault. 10/10. The flow of the game is a giant step up from the original Resi 4. Just point the remote and shoot! Using 'B' to aim, and 'A' as a trigger is quite simple. And shaking the remote to use your knife (trust me, you will want to save your bullets) adds to the immersive experience.
Gameplay -- 10/10. You will want to keep playing until you finish, but then your remember that you need to sleep (unfortunately).
Story -- 9/10 The story is what motivates you to survive! And the story is not just there for the sake of being there. Everything in this series is tied together and you get to make the story yourself by playing along. Semi-frequently there are cinematic cut scenes which advance you and hint whats coming up. Of course, there are some weird twists and silly objectives once in a while (very rarely), but what game doesn't. This is just me being picky, most people would be too distracted by the mind-blowing headshots (bad pun) to even notice.
Value -- the best of the best of the best value. 10/10. Its so much fun, and its cheaper than regular retail price.
Sound -- 10/10. Hearing the sudden shouts of zombie-villagers will make you jump! You can hear echoed footsteps in a cave, dull thuds in a courtyard, the clapping of shoes when your in a palace. Also, whenever you hear the floorboards creek in a house, look behind you!!
A highly recommended game! My review may sound exaggerated but its not. Thats seriously just how good this game is. A must-buy!
