Description
Six years have passed since Raccoon City was destroyed and the government has dismantled the Umbrella Corporation from the inside-out. But the terror is not over. Now a U.S. Agent, former Raccoon Police Officer Leon Kennedy has been dispatched on a mission to Europe to save the President's daughter from a "crazed organization" that bares a striking behavioral resemblance to creatures found in the Arklay Mountains. Is there a connection between these foes and the horrible nightmares from the past? Discover the answer for yourself in Resident Evil 4, the first truly three-dimensional installment of the series.

RE4 was originally developed for the PS2, then cancelled and moved to GameCube (and significantly reinvisioned again while in development), only to reappear on PlayStation 2 once again in 2005.

      Resident Evil 4 Rocks!

    Resident Evil 4 - Survival Horror at it's best!

    I think I'm in love! This is one of my all-time favorite games!

    I bought Resident Evil 4 for PS2 the day it came out. I'd read the great reviews for the Gamecube version and expected one of the best Survival Horror games ever made.

    Resident Evil 4 delivered. CAPCOM hit the nail on the head with this dynamo of a game. I was blown away immediately at how much easier it is to control the characters in comparison to other Resident Evil games. The graphics are superb for a PS2 game, and the atmosphere the sound and music creates is unbelievable. This game is chock full of bad-*** villians and incredibly cool bosses. I've played through the game 7 times, as well as the mini-games numerous times. Beating the game once on easy is incredibly tough, beating it on Hard is even more challenging. Once you beat the game once you begin to unlock secret weapons, characters, costumes, and mini-games. Overall Resident Evil 4 met and exceeded all my expectations, and I believe it will exceed your expectations as well.

    Pros:
    - Easier Controls
    - Graphics, Sound, Atmosphere
    - Laser Aiming and L Trigger Knife Activation
    - Faster, Smarter, Deadlier Enemies
    - Wicked WTF Bosses
    - 2 Unlockable Mini-games featuring Ada Wong
    - Unlockable Mercenaries Mini-Game
    - 4 Unlockable Weapons
    - Amazing Video Sequences
    - A Replay Value Through the Roof
    - The Merchant
    - Pretty Much Everything
    Cons:
    - Having to wait 3 more years for the next Resident Evil game
    - The right passage option after the Farmhouse sequence
    - Nothing!!!

    Final Verdict:
    Graphics 5/5
    Audio 5/5
    Controls 5/5
    Gameplay/Story 5/5
    Replay Value 5/5
    Overall 5/5

    Buy or Rent?: Definately Buy!
    This game is one you must have in your collection. Whether you're a fan of survival horror or not, this game will deliver hours upon hours of fun and excitement. I'd buy two, just in case one gets scratched! Just kidding... but seriously, Buy two!

      PS2 version is incredible - this is the best one yet!

    Yes Resident Evil is back and this time PS2 isn't left hanging. PS2 fans even have an extended version that the GameCube doesn't have. Gone are the mind numbingly slow zombies and welcome the new high graphics version of angry village people wielding chansaws, and pitchforks and… what the heck is that kind of bosses. Gone also are the grainy drab of shades for colors but now you get a detail that rivals that of what makes racing games famous. You can now emerse youself in the surroundings and truely be scared and stressed.

    The Good:
    * Awsome graphics
    * Smarter bad guys
    * Puzzles (woo hoo!)
    * Butt kicking bosses
    * Lots of great details like being able to use a lazer pointer for precision shots
    * Personally one of the top games of this year

    The Bad:
    * Typical "Save the girl"
    * Stupid phrases (who ever talks like that... ever?)
