Description
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for Gamecube is a direct port of the PlayStation survival horror classic, based on the marginally enhanced Dreamcast re-release. This third title in Capcom's saga of terror begins just hours before Resident Evil 2, and exists as a sort of side game (or sequel/prequel, depending on how you look at it). Jill Valentine, special S.T.A.R.S. operative, reprises her role as the hunted. The faceless evil of the Umbrella Corporation is loose on the streets in the form of genetically mutated undead, and Jill is trapped in the city. The object is simple: avoid becoming a zombie entree and get out of Raccoon City! You'll have difficult decisions to make along the way; decisions that affect the course of the game. Fight your way through the twisting story to face of with title character Nemesis.

Special Features
  • More zombies, more terror, and even more evil
  • Challenging enemies that come back to life at any time

  • A unique new drama which reveals more details of Umbrella Corporation's devious activities from the Resident Evil saga

Really Not Worth The Little Time You'll Put Into It

So when Capcom re-released Resident Evil on the GameCube, they juiced it up 110%. Player's got new graphics, a little twist to the story and some extras that weren't present in the original. So naturally when Resident Evil 2 and 3 were released, it would seem that they would do the same formula that found them success with the re-release of the first...right? Well, wrong, they chose to just duplicate the exact same games onto a GameCube disc. This game has the same exact graphics as the PS1 game and it has the exact same play. Everything is just identical as it once was. The major problem is that Jill (your character) moves very robot like and the entire animation of everything is choppy, at best. It's a short game that doesn't exactly have many shining moments. The only true fun was in being chased by the monster all over the city. Otherwise, it's a short game, full of standard to easy puzzles and some pretty lame zombies. If you're looking into this thinking they remade it as they did to the first game, you'll be disappointed. Unless for some reason you are a true diehard fan of the series, I'd skip this one and stick to Zero, the original and 4.
