Rescue From Gilligan's Island (DVD, 2004)

Enjoyed the entire series and wanted to get this follow up to them. The movie is about average and enjoyable as such, but the DVD was copied from an unremastered version and suffers from poor sound and image reproduction.

Me and my husband have all 3 seasons of Gilligans Island and on the last episode it never showed them getting off the island. Now I never watched Gilligans Island when I was a child so I just thought that the ending was really bad because it just left off with them still not being rescued until I looked up Rescue From Gilligans Island Great show.

I thought this was a really great movie where the castaways finally get rescued!!! The movie has Bob Denver in his classic role as Gilligan with his many odd, quirky, zany, mannerisms that make him outrageously funny!!! This was Produced & Written by Sherwood Schwartz who originally created the GILLIGAN'S ISLAND TV SHOW. If you enjoyed the Gilligan's Island TV show then you should have an idea or know what to expect somewhat and have a lot of fun viewing this one!!!

This movie was made very poorly and the sound was fuzzy. Not very funny, and Tina Louise didn't even act as Ginger in the movie. She refused to do the movie and now I know why she did.

Just an OK movie. Not any better than the TV show and would have been better with Tina Louise as Ginger (I guess Mary Ann wins!) - but at least they got rescued . . .
