This record though it has some points when it slows down a little is a remarkable effort. I read once that he had finished the vocals and returned to Europe and sat with it. Then realized that perhaps he could do better, he could push himself further. So he went back into studio and did so. The end result is staggering. The vocals are far and above anything he has done prior. A new high in his career. In the south they call really singing with feeling and heart "diggin' into the gut bucket". Eric achieves this in spades. Sometimes he will do this live, but at least for this release, he pushed the barriers and his own to achieve an outstanding result.
If you like Eric, and there are many periods in his long career, and you have not yet heard this, you must. You can always list it on ebay if you don't like it. I think you will!!!

) A unusual but classic Eric Clapton CD.His style & rhythm never seem to get old .Many of his cuts on this cd are well noted songs.A highly recommended cd for those who do not own it.

I purchased this cd by Eric Clapton with little trouble at all and received it within that week and it came from Washington! The cd is in excellent shape as well.
