It shows how one coach stands up for what he believes. He teaches the entire team to respect each other regardless of color. Together as a team they teach the whole town what the coach has taught them. It teaches us to have the courage to stand for what we our self believe and not what someone else has passed on to us; to feel our own feelings and go with them regarless of what others say

Any Denzel flick is worth watching! He did an excellent job in this portrayal of head coach of the Titans. Even in the mist of struggle there is triumph. Inspite of the adversity he faced,he did not give up his dream or position. If most of us today would take this to heart we would be far better off collectively. A great movie! Very dramatic!!! A must see.

Showing the problems faced and overcome in the early 60's racial integration times. A warm, moving and heartwarming movie.

Did a good job of showing the racial tension of the time, but could of done better, should of been a little bit more harsh I assume the intent was to make it more kid friendly and a feel good story but it still could have gone deeper.

If you really like Spielberg movies like E.T. or Hook and think Stand By Me was great, you may love this movie. They lay on the cheese pretty heavy, even the scenes with racial tension seem overly 'Disnified' and this movie is simply not realistic. I felt guilty for liking it because it was so over the top with it's Lifetime movie of the week depiction of an obviously important part of sports history. This movie offends no one, and that I find offensive, since it is supposedly about racism. I expected more...

not a football movie fan since I am a girly girl but this movie was great! I really like tru stories i think thats the main reason I liked it more. first dvd we ever owned and very happy with it.

We are the Titans, the mighty mighty Titans! This is not a good movie, this is a GREAT MOVIE! Based on the true story of how one High School football team who had to learn how to get along. This movie stars Denzel Washington. It is a great family movie and would make a great family movie night movie!

I wanted to buy the film on DVD since I only had it on VHS. It is a classic movie that everyone should watch and love.
