I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher and have been a Reiki initiate for about 8 years. Some people believe that, to be a true Reiki practitioner, you must have certain "lineage," you must use specific strict hand placement and must follow a stringent protocol to truly be effective. But in reality, we are each God-created individuals, and we can take each lesson and apply it to our own lives and experiences and evolve along with our abilities. I read Mr. Rand's "Reiki News" magazine each quarter, and enjoy how he shows us to use Reiki in new and innovative ways in our lives each day. The kit comes with a book, two DVD's and some cards which can be used for guidance or as oracles. I even settled my 5-digit debt with some of his techniques! I love this set alot.

My mother is a reiki master and has this wonderful book which also includes a meditation cd and a music cd and a dvd. It has a very effective way of describing things and is very calming. I recomend it to anyone who has had an attunement and wants to learn reiki easily.
