Despite the star caliber of the cast this is the most boring movie ever! Cursory treatment of Stanley "Tookie"'s past is explored in just a couple of flashbacks. The rest of the movie takes place in a prison interview room intermixed with cuts of clouds passing quickly across the sky (ie. time passing). Stanley's greatest accomplishment - ending the violence between the Bloods and the Crips - consists of one scene. In the end you're completely baffled by who Stanley was, what he did or the legal battle that took place to commute his sentence. They only thing you are sure of is that a lot of clouds passed over head during his incarceration.

i saw that movie before and i bought it cause like it and it was nice and specially for the actor who play the role both of them

I found Jaime Foxx in a new light. I understand now, that he is a genius. Jaime's depiction of the Crip King was so captivating to me that I feel as though I knew Tookie personally, and walked with him awhile.

You can never forget this movie.
