Red Wing Stoneware by Gail Depasquale, Larry Peterson, and Peterson Depasquale (1983, Paperback)

I use this book all the time for help in deciding what I am willing to pay for an item and to compare unmarked possible Red Wing pottery too. I just wish it was updated yearly, with new and more pictures, prices, and more types of Red Wing pottery as well.

We have several copies of this book. We recently bought the 2006 updated price guide of the book. We take it with us whenever we go to auctions AND we also use it when looking at items on ebay. We know the prices are not exact to our area of the country but it gives us a good idea of what the various items in the book are worth now-acccording to the experts. It also helps us with the history of Red Wing pottery, dating items, understanding what the various marks on the pottery are, the dates the pottery was made, what to look for etc.

this is an excellent reference book. the only problem i find with it is contains no references to the japanese lantern pattern that i am interested in.

This is a nice smaller book easily carried for reference. Colored pictures and concise descriptions give a quick discovery to the item in question.

Great details book on Red Wing through the ages. From Leafs to Wings of different sizes. Good section on lids and fittings, handles, and knobs.
