Red Hot Chili Peppers, The - Funky Monks (DVD, 2000)

This DVD shows the RHCP at the cusp of musical super-stardom. Coming off of their hit CD, "Mothers Milk", the RHCP release the mega smash CD, "Blood Sugar Sex Majik", where this multi-platinum CD launched the band into one of the best on the planet. It is great to see the band in rehearsal and some tense moments between Flea and John Frusciante where they push their musical differences into perfection on this CD. The DVD shows them with Rick Ruben and Brendan O'Brien during some lighter moments aside from the studio and the way the band is intent on settling for nothing less than perfection with this CD. A true collector's must for any RHCP fan!!!!

Beautifully shot in an almost haunting black-and-white, Funky Monks is among the top tier of musical documentaries. An amazing look into the making of a timeless album from Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Bought this for my nephew. He was very pleased. Paid a great price compared to other offers. I would definately purchase items from this seller again. Great communication also.

I like the Red Hot Chili Peppers so much, and I wanted to have this dvd. It was a mistake to buy from the seller, because the item has never arrived, I had to escalate to PayPal. The seller had never answered my questions.

I am sure I would of liked it if I recieved it. I never received the

well, i bought it, and this video was never sent to me!!!!!!!!!!! so there was absolutly no point of having me review anything!

I purchased this DVD on January 8th, the day after I won it. It is now February 11th and have not received my purchase or even a response back from the seller. This purchase is currently under review with pay-pal for a refund, although all I wanted was the DVD!! Very disappointed!

This is a must-have for any die hard Red Hot Chili Peppers fan. It shows behind the scenes footage of the band during the making of their 1991 Triple platinum album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. You get to see how the band members (Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante, and Chad Smith)interact with each other, and how they make music together. I really enjoyed watching it.

This documentary is an excellent look inside the making of Blood Sugar Sex Magik. No tru preformance footage but interesting for the first couple watches. Necessary for all hardcore RHCP fans.

To the two people above me, the rating of this DVD has nothing to do with your experience on eBay so leave it out. You rated this a one star simply because of your transaction. I havn't seen this completely but what I did see was pretty good. It's probably a good rating but I have to balance out these two poor ratings.
