Red Dwarf V (DVD, 2005)

I am a big fan of the Red Dwarf Series, I have watched every episode, some multiple times, and it never seems to get boring, every character has it's own unique personality, and I guarantee you and the whole family will enjoy it.

a '' US '' Version Of '' Red Dwarf '' ?

i just finished watching red dwarf series 5 and as usuall i enjoyed it very mutch.

when you decide to buy this, P.L.E.A.S.E. check out the special features...

i'm a big fan of the show, but i didn't know that they had a american alterate version ( perhaps a couple of pilots ) of the show '' red dwarf '' that didn't go so well.

in the special features you see a couple of clips there and some jokes are a bit hilarious there, tried to find it, but couldn't find it unfortunately, should a seller read this who has these for sale, lemme know, thank you

about this series, the wardrobe of rimmer is very good now, and he actually has sex on a holoship lol

also i learned that this was the last series with the female holly ( personally i didn't think she was sutch a good actrice myself )

the beauty of these series is that there's so mutch background information, the episodes on these dvds aren't that mutch, but you learn a great deal ABOUT the show behind the scenes & all, and in this one as well.

The Red Dwarf series is unique among SF TV. Comedy instead of action is the main emphasis, although there is plenty of action too... Last human being alive Dave Lister, Hologram Aronold Rimmer, Cat (an evolved feline with human characteristics) and Kryten the Android first encounter a holoship filled with hologramic humans. Rimmer is in Seventh Heaven and he gets all the sex he ever wanted to boot! In "The Inquisitor", the crew have to justify their existence to a homocidal mechanical life-form determined to wipe them out! In "Terrorform" Rimmer's mind becomes the template for life on a psi-moon. Dave Lister sums it up best when they set out to find Rimmer: "That's Rimmer's mind out there, expect sickness". The Red Dwarf crew come to his rescue, eventually freeing Rimmer from the clutches of his own neurotic mind and saving themselves from being devoured by the planet. Next is "Quarantine" Rimmer looses his mind when he becomes infected with a virus and locks up the crew in quarantine and refuses to let them out. In "Demons & Angels" the crew of the Red Dwarf find themselves having to deal with the results of a Triplicator gone bad. It creates two more Red Dwarf ships- one populated with the best attributes of their personalites and the other with the worst. Finally in "Back to Reality" the crew are led to believe that they have been living in a video game/virtual reality for the past 4 years and that they are not marooned in space. But all is not what it seems.... Dwayne Dibbley makes his debut. If this all sounds weird and confusing, it is. Start with Season 1 and work your way thru to Season 8, then all will be understood. And you will be ready on October 6th when the NEW Red Dwarf "Back to Earth" is released on DVD.... Dwarfers have been waiting over 10 years for this!!!!!!!!!!!!
