I saw this years ago so I bought it for a second look. It's interesting seeing now famous actors in their early roles. This film is not an award winner but is interesting to watch. It touches on some interesting points and has plenty of action.

Red DawnI ordered the movie to watch for a class I am taking. The movie itself was ok, that is to say the story line however the condition of the VHS tape is terrible. We tried using the tracking to no avail. I am very disappointed in the quality of a product that was put on ebay for sale.

Can Happen Today.....A timeless movie.Excellent film, despite its age. The scenario could very much happen today, involving different enemies. Recommended. Very entertaining.

Title aptly describes the invadersGreat action film, could be a portent of the near future. It was filmed in and around Cortez, Colorado...not to far from me. Lots of action and hope implied, in spite of the grim circumstances. I would not recommend it for children as there is a lot of violence. I had seen the film several years ago ( it was made in 1986) but did not remember the all too frequent use of Jesus's name in vain.
That degrades the film somewhat. The portrayal of the enemy officer was done well and it was interesting to see his final feelings about the invasion, he was a man under authority but still was saddened. I believe he also developed a real respect for the "rebels" in the end.
