The Red Badge of Courage (DVD, 2003)

My husband wanted this DVD for his birthday so of course I got it for him. He really enjoyed it a lot and has watched it over and over!! The DVD was in excellent condition and the price was right. What more can I say?

THIS IS AN OLDER MOVIE THAT I CAN WATCH AGAIN AND AGIAN. ITS A GREAT MOVIE TO BUY AND COLLECT. ITS HARD TO FIND THESE MOVIES IN THE REGULER RETAIL STORE.

I BOUGHT THIS NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF BEING AN AUDIE MURPHY FAN, BUT BECAUSE I FIRST SAW THIS FILM AS A TEENAGER AND WAS MUCH IMPRESSED.THIS WASN'T ONE OF THOSE BLOODY MESS WAR MOVIES, BUT RATHER A STUDY IN CHARACTER AND HUMAN INTEREST.THE DIALOGUE WAS SO "HOME SPUN" AND REFRESHING IN CONTRAST TO TODAYS LANGUAGE AND VULGARITY SO PREVALENT IN TODAYS MOVIES.ALTHOUGH IT WAS IN BLACK AND WHITE THE MOVIE WAS VERY CRISP AND EXCITING TO WATCH. THIS ACTUALLY ADDED TO THE ENJOYMENT.
THIS WAS SO VERY ENTERTAINING AND HUMOROUS AT TIMES WHICH MADE A GREAT VIEWING EXPERIENCE. I RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY AND ALL AUDIENCES AS THIS IS WHAT MOVIES USED TO BE MADE OF.

This is an outstanding movie of the Civil War. I had seen it several years ago on VHS and I was pleased to find it on DVD. For fans of the late Audie Murphy this is a must. A real hero on and off the screen.

It's certainly the best role ever given to Audie Murphy. The movie is an excellent adaptation from the novel by Stephen Crane. In my opinion "The Red badge of courage" is the best book which was written about the American Civil war.

I was sent an illegal copy from the person in San Jose......I could not give this to the person I wanted to for Christmas...I was unhappy....

This was a good movie with Audie Murphy in (I believe) his first, or close to the first, movie he made after the war. It told a story that could have been real. One that you do not see in movies like this. It put you right on the battle fild. A good movie
