I have built most of Art's "kitbashing" structures. The book goes well with his first one; for the best info on kitbashing, read them both.

Too many model railroads feature the same building kits. With Art's kitbashing ideas, you can create some very unique structures for no more than the cost of the original kits. In some cases, you can build more than one from a single kit.

The book is full of ideas. If you want to follow his instructions, you can make some really neat buildings. If you want to freelance a little using his ideas as guidelines, you can make even more unique structures. Either way, you will enjoy the results of your efforts and be pleased with the results.

The only negative about the book is that sometimes he used kits that are no longer available today. But you still get the feel of what he is trying to accomplish.
