Read With Me Bible (2000, Hardcover, Revised)

The good things about this Bible are that it does contain major stories of the Bible with very colorful illustrations that children like. I find however that the very modern language used for the text makes teaching your child traditional Bible verses somewhat awkward. Even well-known passages have different wording that sometimes make the verse almost non-recognizable. I supplement this Bible with other texts for my son and sometimes I "translate" some verses to more closely resemble the King James, New King James or New American versions. Overall, my son enjoys being read to from this Bible. He asks for it every night!

The book was in excellent condition and my 6-year old daughter loves it so much that we read it every night before we go to sleep.

This bible is great with my 5 and 3 year old. The stories are great and short enough to keep their attention span. They end up knowing the types of Bible stories like the once I grew up hearing in Sunday school. My five year old gets a kick out of reading the bible for Devo time. Greatly recommend. What better foundation can one give their child?

I love this Bible book. I had purchased a few individual books from this author and liked them so much I wanted to buy the Bible in this version. I read a story from it to my son every night before bed. He always wants me to read more. The pictures are very colorful and full of personality. I know he will enjoy reading it to me when he gets older.

Very age appropriate reading level. Pictures very colorful and are drawn to show the emotion in the story. Only dislike was that the stories were too short but considering the number of stories in the Bible thats understandable. Cant go wrong with this Book!
