Loved this film, great entertainment, deals with controversal subject matter. Show how the supremely talented legend dealt with demons of his own. Jammie Fox pulls off a superb job of mimicking the late singers mannerisms, and deseves an award for such. Great soundtrack throuout the film. For pure entertainment, give this one 5 stars *****

Great movie because shows the struggle that ray did to overcome racim in the south. This movie shows how poor where some people in the south in thouse years.

I saw this movie in the theater and the quality of this disc was just as great. The feature that allowed you to include the deleted scenes in to the movie made this much better than the theater. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The soundtrack sounded fantastic on the disc. This will be enjoyed for years and years.

Jamie Foxx proved himself to be an actor, not just a commedian (sp?). The story is excellent. I had no idea Ray Charles went trough all that. I am 37. Always known the name and music, but never the story behind it. Jamie Foxx made himself a movie legend with this role. I don't think I have ever seen better acting. To play a blind piano player and singer and make it TOTALLY believeable, awesome.

This movie is fantastic! It is great! Thank goddness Ray Charles got to see it himself before he passed away. This is truly Jamie Fox at his finest. He actually brought us into Ray Charle's life. It was as if I was there. It is one of the best movies you will ever watch. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to get this one. The only complaint is the use of the word God Dxxx, I think they could have left that one out. I really do not like that.That is why I didn't give it an excellent rating. So parents beware, other than that. It's a good movie. I think parents should watch this alone before knowing rather they would like there kids to watch it, because some of the scences and language.hope this helps!

I don't know what happened to the original copy of "Ray" I bought from WalMart; just seemed to disappear from my barracks room. I got tired of not having one of my favorite movies, so I decided to cop one from ebay. It's true what they say: "One man's trash is another man's treasure". The product was practically brand new and you couldn't beat the price unless you actually found the DVD on the ground! I love ebay!

I love the movie Jamie Foxx did an excellant job.everybody who likes Ray Charles should at least try to rent it.I've watched movie 2 or 3 times already.

I loved following the life of Ray Charles, and did not have to watch a biography. The movie kept my interest all the way through, with great acting from a stellar cast.

The movie Ray is a lasting testimony and tribute to both the musical excellence and the character flaws of Ray Charles! With certainty this was a testimony to the humanity of all of us. No matter who we are, we all have skills that can propel us to greatness but can also place us in jeopardy. What I really loved was that this was not some cushy and fluffy depiction of a great man and musical icon. It showed that despite extreme poverty, physical disabilities, deplorable conditions of the times we live in, Ray made his dreams come true and so can we! I am guilty, as many of us, of seeing only one side of this musical genius! I have learned so much about the man. Some of it was shocking and some of it was so amazing that at the end of the movie I was wanting to know more about Mr Charles. As for Jamie Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles, it was gripping, amazing, and inspiring! It is well known the Jamie Fox is a extremely talented comedian. Yet, of all his acting projects; Miami Vice, The Player's Club, etc..., his performance as Ray Charles catapults his into the mega star realm of Denzel Washington, Robert Redford, Al Pacino, Billy D Williams, etc... At times it was so difficult to determine was it Ray or Jamie singing that it was both frustrating and amazing. Twenty-five thumbs up to all who were involved with the making of this classic.

of course we've all seen this movie by now.... but the bonus features are also worth watching. ray charles was the man!
