Raw Food Made Easy by Jennifer Cornbleet (2005, Paperback)

I use this book every single day. The tough thing with being raw is that you can't multi-task. You can't have one thing cooking while you're doing something else; you have to push the food processor button on and off or wash the vegetables, then cut, then juice them. Very time consuming. However, the recipes are generally simple and the fact that she lays out your weekly produce, kitchen equipment, and expiration dates for every single recipe lets you relax through the whole thing.

I was a food waster before. I'd buy groceries I liked and went through some or most of them unless something else came up. Now, I don't waste a single thing. I plan my meals and know that I'll have my Mediterranean Kale around for three days as a side dish or my Walnut Pate around for five days to stuff bellpeppers one days and use it as meatballs another. I never cooked until I went vegan and kinda had to and now -- though there's no cooking -- I enjoy spending time making food a few days per week.

And even with the large dessert section, you know you're always eating healthy and suddenly want to cater company parties.
