The camera is incredibly wonky and the resulting game play makes it more awkward than going back and playing the First title. If you need your R&C fix though, it is a playable game once you get past the frustrating camera angles.

MY 10 YR NEWPHEW BEGGED ME FOR THIS GAME TO RENT AND i COULDNT UNDERSTAND WHY HE ANTED A GAME SO BADLY, UNTIL IT CAME AND i WATCHED HIM WHIP THROUGH IT LIKE HOT KNIFE IN BUTTER, ME ON THE OTHER HAND I HAD A HARD TIME GETTING THROUGH THE ANGEL OF THE CAMERA

I am a fan of the Ratchet and Clank games. Game was wrapped tightly in packaging that fit the need. I also recieved the item very quickly. I would buy from this person again in the future. I think having to write a hundered words about a game is hard to do. The condition of the game was expected. The game itself had a few small scratches on it.

I liked that is it still a Ratchet and Clank game. I disliked the graphics, that you can't use lock strafe, that the enemies take way too long to die. I decided to buy this because I happened to have money on my PayPal account.

Great... One to add to the collection or corse.... graphics are less because it was a PSP game to start with.. over all a good buy for a cheap price is what I was looking for and got

I liked the other 3 Ratchet & Clank games, but either games have gotten so good lately that this one seems outdated, or they just skimped on this game to push it out the door quicker.. There's just not a real plot here, you get big, or little, but if you skip the cinematics you would never know any of the shrinky-dink stuff. Not much challenge, or incentive to play the game well. I mean, so what if you dont have the armor kits or various combos equipped, just shoot the bad guys. Oh, you died? No biggie, there's no limit to lives and you just blast and level up your weapons some more. And by the time you get them leveled up(esp the RYNOCERATOR) youre so sick of beating the game over and over that its not any fun. And your big reward for leveling up the weapons is boring, one-shot-kills-everything-on-screen gameplay. Yeah, the big final boss takes like 6 whole shots with the Ryno, and you dont even have to dodge his fire- literally just stand there and press X till he's dead and you win (yet again, yay). Finding all the titanium bolts sound like fun? Maybe, until you find that they're only good for lame 'costumes'. Run around and earn money to buy weapons and its boring already. Use the new, expensive weapons, and its even more boring. It might be a good temp babysitter for your 6 year old, but even a 6 year old deserves incentive and reward for exhibiting skill in gameplay, and this game offers none. By the time you've reached the big levels, you can literally beat this game with your feet on the controller. I know, because I did, and I can send you a video to prove it. A hammer or potatoe would work just as well if you want to keep your shoes on. It just doesnt take any dexterity to mash the X button like a 2 yr old in tantrum.
And the dialogue doesnt seem to possess that fun wit and banter that the first 3 had. The voices sound like a BAD mp3, with flat graphics to match.

I've been a big fan of the Ratchet & Clank series for the PS2. All the games are great, very intuitive. Requires skill, but yet it's not too complex. The game is very addicting and I catch myself playing for hours at a time. If you're looking to buy a PS2 game, I would definitely recommend looking into a Ratchet & Clank game.

Other than not get the book with it I really enjoy the game. I got online and printed off some thing about the game so it would help me.

This game is not bad, it seems to be a bit simpler then the other Ratchet games, and each level doesn't seem to be as long as previous Ratchet games, but it still follows the same platform and is still fun to play. I would like to see more intense gameplay and something "different"

This being the 5th Ratchet and Clank game on PS2, does not have very good graphics. (same graphics as the 1st Ratchet and Clank game)

The gameplay is still the same except for strafing, there must be enemies near you in order to strafe.

Good thing is, it allows 2 players to play against each other. And the Clank mini-games are awesome.

this is a great game. my son has all of the ratchet and clank games and he loves this one as well. It is a different challange from the others. ratchet is now fighting with the millitary and trying to fight his way out. this is a fun game that i play with my son and know of many friends that love this game as well

This is a game that starts out like the other titles in this series, Ratchet has to save the world. You use Clank to get into the places that Ratchet can't like the games before but one of the problems with the game is it is really short. Some of the earlier titles would take a while to complete but this one seemed like it was just thrown together.
The weapons in earlier games were so much better as well. You get a very limited choice of weapons as the game progresses and the weapons you get don't hold near the power of some of the earlier titles. Anyone who has played this series should remember the R.H.I.N.O. This was the weapon to have in the game! Well, nothing like that in the game and what happened to getting your hands on some of the weapons you gained in the earlier games?
You can't use anything from earlier game saves. The game was fun to play but I would have to have absolutely nothing to play in order to play this game again. I have enjoyed the earlier games much more than this. If you are a fan of this series I believe you are in for disappointment. It's a fun game for the most part but it doesn't have the replay value the other games do. I only played it because it was part of the series and I am a fan of it. If I had played this one first though I would probably be hard pressed to purchase another one.
If you can't find anything else to play then get this game, otherwise look for something else.

ehh, it seemed like a quickly put together sequel. the original was the best still. My six year old plays it because its a game, but for an adult to sit and play through it just isnt happening

Son age 9 loves it as he does all the Ratchet & Clank games.
Child Freindly and tons of fun. Appropriate for young kids because when the little guy shoots any enemies they only break up into nuts and bolds. No gore.
