The Rapture by Jerry B. Jenkins (2006, Hardcover)

Jenkins has done it again! Another really good book by an exciting author that can pull emotion from the most jaded readers. There has been no better series of books written than the "Left Behind" series by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye and this book rates with the better ones. Would certainly recomend that anyone read this series and this addition to that series.

Incredible! I loved this book and would read it again! Everything you could imagine heaven would be! Another great thing about this book is you could be a first time reader of this entire series. A good started to the Left behind books.

What struck me most is how the people in the book, even those who new the Rapture had occurred, were running around looking for loved ones and friends who had not been taken and we saying things like "I so glad you're ok." If the Rapture occurred and I WASN'T gone (though I WILL) I'd be on my face begging GOD to forgive me and rejoicing my family and friends had gone on. This book also got me to thinking more about how you can't just be saved and then sit around for the Rapture to occur, you must get out and DO. At times I have been WAY involved in church and on every committee and group, but since I've developed Fibromyalgia I have not been as active. As a result of this book and prayer i;m going to start out slow and I know God will bless me and give me the energy and blunt the pain so I can do more and more for him. I will also quit whining that I can't do the things I use to do and focus on what I can do - EVERYONE can pray. I try to pray for each and every person who I encounter each day - I don't get everybody, but I try. It is the one thing I can do - I know I am not a good witness, I am shy and have a hard time talking to people that I know - but I have made sure my family has professed Jesus as their savior and it's something everyone can do. I pray in the car (after praying that I don't get in a wreck!) and you can too. Instead of getting mad at the person ahead of you - pray for them. You don't need to know their name, GOD does. I want plenty of gold and jewels and very little chaff when Jesus measures my life with fire, to lay these crowns at HIS feet. Another thing this book did for me is to help heal the wounds my father left and to make me glad that he had a deathbed confession and I will be HAPPY to see him in heaven, no matter what he did here on earth. I also found this to be very biblically oriented and spotted the Antichrist before he even did one "wrong" thing. I know y'all laugh, but I used to think Elvis would be the Antichrist - ok, now that you have stopped laughing...this has been less of a review and more of a testimony. Pray for me and I am praying now for each person who reads this review to receive a special blessing and be motivated to read the book and the series. If you've stuck with this review until the end, bless you. DO NOT BE LEFT BEHIND.

This book answered a lot of the questions I had about what was going on with those who were raptured. It was a wonderful book and set the stage beautifully for the rest of the series. I would recommend starting with the 3 prequals before reading the rest of the series and I would recommend going back to read these three if you have already read the rest of the series.

I've been following the Left Behind series and couldn't wait to read the Rapture. This book goes back before the first book and is an exciting look at what happens before and after the Rapture, but this time from the eyes of other Left Behind characters that were introduced later in the series. What is truly cool is that we see Heaven described by Irene and Raymie and what they experienced after the Rapture. Even though the book is fictional, the authors use scripture references in describing what will take place and provides a vivid look at what we as Christians have to look forward to when we get to Jesus. ---- Rocky

This is the third book in a series I have been reading. There were a lot of them available so I had watched it for some time until the price went down to where I felt it was a good deal and was priced less than what you could get it at Sam's Club. I am happy with the purchase.

I have read every one of the books in the Left Behind series and this one was as enthralling as all the others. If you start them, you can't put them down. They are awesome reading and will really open your eyes. Recommend to all!

If you liked the Left Behind series, you Must get this 3 book series. It is SUPER. The character, Ramond Steel, was not always the good guy. In fact you want to smack him a time or two. But ya gotta love a guy who does a 180 turn around, and does it right the second time around.

Wraps up the Left Behind Series. Not quite as good as the others but worth the read. Bought it to finish collection of the whole series.

I have read all the books in the series. Toward the end of the Left Behind Series, I found the books not as interesting as they were in the beginning. The first two books of the prequel series were ok and gave a nice perspective into the events that led up to the beginning of the Left Behind Series. However, this third book of the prequel is absolutely wonderful and worth the read. I couldn't put it down. It really made me look at my own life as far as what I do to show that I am a Christian. I found it intriguing to think about what it will actually be like when we do get to see Jesus and live with him in Heaven. It is definitely worth the time and money to get some insight into what Heaven could possibly hold for us! The greatest part of all is that Heaven will be so much more than what the book portrays because no mortal mind has the ability to understand fully what God has prepared for us!

I have been following this series since the beginning. The rapture is book 3 of the 4 part series, and explains about before they were left behind. It talks about the characters as they grew up to the important role they play. This series really helped me realize what it could be like and how important it is to be a good christian... I havent read this book yet but when I am done witht eh Regime, I will begin this book, i expect it to be nothing but great...

Another great book in the series. I have passed them on to others interested in reading them, but have not. I have enjoyed the books a lot.

My wife loves thse books Great one. She has the whole set, and now the collection is growing with this latest edition. She will get much enjoymnet out of them.

Started from the first volume and had to continue! Not a series you can just stop reading, a real page turner! Action, adventure, suspense, mystery... all in one!! If you have any questions about end times, this is a must read! LaHaye & Jenkins seem to have put quite a bit of time, research, & effort into this literary master piece.

This set of books would a good read for anyone. The message though told in fictional terms, is a valuable lesson for anyone to know. This book was written as the conclusion of the 12 book series on those left behind after the rapture of the church.

I have really enjoyed reading these books. You just want to see what is coming next. Helps me to understand Revelations in the bible better. Thanks

The left behind series is the Best Series I have ever Read!!!!!!!!!!! I have read many books Because of the fact I love reading. I especially love reading series. But this series is the best I have ever read. The way in which they outline according to The book of Revelation to give people an idea of what is to Come Is Excellent!!! Reading them Is like it we are actually In the book itself among what is going on!!!

I purchased a book, one of the left behind series. Book was delivered as advertised and on time; however, the inside cover of the book had a checkout envelope with a "return to" the church that had owned it to begin with. I contacted the seller and she was very defensive and would not answer direct questions about how she acquired the book. I contacted the church and they were non-responsive.

This book is the third in the Prequel series of the Left Behind books. I have read most of the books and this one is the only one I haven't read or owned. I want to eventually read all of the books. The price was very reasonable for this book and it is in excellent condition. I would recommend this series as an excellent choice to read for those people interested in Bible Prophecy. The books are only fictional, but they are based on the author's interpretation of the book of Revelation and gives the reader an idea of what might happen in the latter days.

This book is great! It is the third book in the Prequel series to the Left Behind series. I highly recommend this book after reading the two books that come before this one.

I loved the story and the illustration of what the future may hold is exciting and motivating. I would recomend this book to anyone to be inspired about what the master has for all who choose him.
