Cool book....love the cover too...nothing flashy but the book is handsomely and smartly constructed....also, the Anthony G. Williams book "Rapid Fire" even has such recent guns as the 27mm Mauser BK27 represented.....they are designed for use installed in Eurofighter Typhoon versions and feature a linkless feed system attached to the magazine...and this offering has these images in color 65 photographs deep...plenty of cool and new and high tech ordinance is featured within.....new types of applications included are: tanks, fast armoured and armed personnel carriers, coastal patrol boats, aircraft of all types, multiple-barreled anti-aircraft radar-guided turrets and anti-tank guns on many different mounting devices/vehicles....297pp printed material and hundreds of b/w photos and graphs/statistics/specs sheets.....about $30 worth of information easily is found here as the book has clear and concise diction/lexicon-usage/grammar which are sano and the guns such as the important Mauser MG 213 from late WWII are covered here too.....they contributed to a very design still in use today with some frontline military services out in the world's countries utilizing licensed copies and redisigned takes on old designs altogether of light to medium automatic machine guns/cannons. Great print type for ease of readablility and wear and tear on eyes. For a paperback it sure is pretty heavy weight-wise. If you love these precision armaments and things that go "BOOM" in the dark leaving streaks of the tracers in the dark..then this book is for you...I assure you. I'm not saying that there is exactly that to be found in here but it is an introduction to service weapons and those units which are still in service trials and developement and have even yet to be utilized by any service forces as of late.
