Highly Addicting!!! 6 of 6 people found this review helpful.
My eight-year old son and I love playing this game together. We play together to destroy various cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, London, etc. Each city is eerily similar to those actual cities (with a little twist on their famous sites ~ for instance, Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco is called Chocolate Square). You have to destroy something like 5 blocks within each city, each within a specified time frame. Your enemies are the police and military who are trying to attack you from airplanes, helicopters, building windows, tanks, and the ground. To get rid of them, you can stomp on them, pound your fists on them, punch them, or if they're on the ground, you can swipe them up and eat them (which actually gives you more power)! Along the way, you can unlock new monster characters to be, unlock new powers by completing given challenges (i.e. eat 3 cows, destroy 8 trains, find a bag of gold, etc.), and unlock new cities to destroy. I've found it to be a great way to get out your frustrations from the day. Also, being a huge fan of the old 80's arcade version of Rampage, I'm enjoying reliving my childhood. The only negative I've found is that it takes a little while to get used to using the controller. Once you get used to it, LET THE DESTRUCTION BEGIN!!!

When we got a Wii for Christmas this year, my wife and I picked up Rampage and Super Monkey Ball for it. My 6 year old and I like the rampage games on the PS1 and so we figured we would give this a try. We started out standing up, swing our arms and battering buildings. After standing for 45 minutes or so, we decided to sit down and bash away. Eventually our arms got tired and we figured out that we could destroy the buildings without waving our arms in a bashing fashion so we settled into the routine of playing it like a game on an old school system. The game itself was fun and had it not been past his bed time and the wife would be home soon, we would have kept on playing. This is a really nice twist on the old Rampage games. It has much more depth than the previous Rampage games and substantially improved graphics. The play is much enhanced with the Wii's controllers and depending on how you play it, it will give you a real nice workout. All in all, this game rocks. The only negative I could say is that if you own it on another system, it probably isn't worth buying it again but if all you have is a Wii and an extra 30 bucks, this is a very fun distraction which in my case keeps me coming back for more.
