Synopsis A fantasy novel based on the "Ramayana," an epic of India and Southeast Asia. Rama is the firstborn son of King Dasaratha. He uncovers a woman's body from the mud, but when he touches it, he is sent into a trance which can only be reversed by the power of true love. When Rama is released from the trance he is forced into exile by a jealous queen. Now Rama, his true love Sita, and his brother Laksmana must battle the evil King Ravana in order to return to their homeland.
