We have eaten at Ralph & Kacoo restaurants in South Louisiana and have thoroughly enjoyed their food, colorful atmosphere, and great service. This book is an excellent remembrance of great times and the unique cuisine of this area. The recipes are priceless and delightful for the taste buds. My one disappointment is that I could not find the crabmeat au gratin receipe in this book, and it was my favorite.

) Super Lou-zee-anna fix'ns. The book tells a story, it's more than just a cook book. You mouth waters as you ramble thru the pages, make sure you have a spit cup handy. At one time there were 6 Restaurants with the name of Ralph and Kacoo, not sure today, but I will find out this winter on my Southern Tour as I make my way down to the tip of Florida.

My boyfriends coworker had the cookbook and was cooking different things out of it each week. My boyfriend had made a comment about how he'd like to have one too, and I got lucky and found it on ebay for sale. The book is no longer published by the publisher.
