Raising Helen (DVD, 2004)

This is a story of three sisters who think they have their lives set, when fate steps in and throws them an unbelievable curve ball.

After the shocking and tragic death of one of the sisters and her husband it is automatically assumed that custody of their three children will be awarded to the responsible and self declared super-mom sister that practically raised the other two sisters (Joan Cusack). However a surprising reading of the will finds that custody is to be left to the younger super single, model executive, sister (Kate Hudson) and the adventure begins.

As the youngest of four sisters and a Mom, I can honestly say this movie is a fantastic and realistic portrayal of the best examples of sisterly love and hardships. It will make you laugh and cry all in one sitting. Even my husband enjoyed this touching movie. It has more than earned its position in our movie collection.
