This movie has two of my favorite classic film stars, Tyrone Power and Myrna Loy. I am not sure it got a lot of press at the time because it was a love story between an Indian Dr. and a bored American socialite. Power returns to India from America to treat his people. He is invited to some social functions, and meets Ms. Loy, but because things like this are taboo he keeps his distance. Loy pursues him, and its no denying he is attracted to her, but there is that "culture" thing again. The whole movie is lavishly set against the background of colonial India and the turmoil of the people. The tension between Loy and Power reaches out to you during the whole film. If you haven't seen it and like classic movies I think you'll really enjoy this one.

Love this movie!!! Has a very nice plot, and good acting, but how can you go wrong with Tyrone Powers!!!

) I love classic movies and I am trying to build a diverse, eclectic collection of movies, both classic and recent. When I search for a movie I don't just look at the price, I look at vendors feedback.
Don't get me wrong, price is important but if you get a terrific price then have to spend time following up on the product yo've already lost money. I checked several different vendors for this item and chose them because of their feedback.
There was two other vendor that had it cheaper, one I will never deal with again and the other had an unacceptable (<96.6%) feedback ratio. I didn't pay much using this vendor and in a way I paid less.
Once I placed this order, before I had time to consider when it would be here, I had it my hands. So the the little extra I paid, actually paid for itself in the end.

) Great old classic. Highly recommended. I bought the Rains Came two weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the digital re-mastery of this long forgotten title. You will never find a better copy then this DVD. A+++++
