I love live, organic, vegan food, & I purchased this book after finishing Dr. Cousens's latest (There Is a Cure for Diabetes). Unlike other live food books I own, this one provides up-to-date info on foods purported to be live that aren't (e.g. wild rice), alternatives to soy products (e.g. chick pea miso), and how to raise healthy children (not an issue for me personally, but what could be more important?). The recipes are presented by category, and the book offers myriad choices, making it easy to adapt the recipes according to season and location. Most importantly, each recipe is coded according to its suitability to YOUR level of health and fitness. Whether you want new ideas for salads & dressings, or sweet & savory treats for your hardcore vegan friends, you'll find it in these pages. This is a perfect companion to "Conscious Eating," another of Dr. Cousens's groundbreakers.
