Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman are awesome in this film. I believe the film was nominated for several high awards, but never received them, sadly. In my opinion, I think the film should have won some of those rewards because the acting and story line is brilliant. Dustin Hoffman plays the role of a autistic savant and Tom cruise turns out to be his brother; Thats all I'll say about it because I don't want to spoil the movie for all those who have not seen the film. Trust me, you'll enjoy it {I hope}

I do not own very many movies. I purchased this movie because it has everything a movie should have.....a believable story and excellent actors to tell you that story. Rain Man is that rare movie that stays with you forever and can be enjoyed over and over again.

The movie was full of action it was entertaining all the way through.
Dustin Hoffman certainly had one of his best performances ever.
This is a must see classic, don't miss it.

I love that this movie is a one of a kind. There has NEVER been another movie that could come close to doing what this movie did for Dustin Hoffman and for Tom Cruise. They each gave stunning performances and it's a good thing that Hoffman was already a well-established actor otherwise he might be deemed a misfit in the acting arena. His performance of an autistic man has got to have been one of the toughest roles he has ever played and he did it so well that I almost got caught up in feeling sorry for him! Tom Cruise took on a role that allowed him to shine as someone who was able to put his way of life on the back burner and to realize that from somewhere deep down inside of him he was able to pull out some compassion for his brother; a brother that could have ruined him socially. This movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen and it is one of the limited few that I could watch over and over again. I can literally count on one hand the number of movies that have moved me to the point that I could watch them at least once a month for the rest of my life and Rain Man is in the top 3!
