This is a wonderful story of three wonderful children who lose everything in their world but their love and their imagination. It is set in the late 1900's about a family who loses their Father and have to move to a small town with their mother. Their kindness for all around them will make you believe in the kindness in the world. I would highly recommend it to all but especially for children. This version and the one done the year later.

Can't review this film as I ordered this from two different companies and received wrong film. Got "The Joy of Stress" both times. This film "The Railway Children" must be labeled incorrectly. I'm disappointed. Don't know who to advise referable to the problem. Would be interested in knowing if anyone else had this same problem.

) I first saw this movie on Masterpiece Theater. I bought the VHS version of it. Then my VCR ate the tape! I wanted the DVD version of this excellant movie ever since. This is one of the BEST family films I've seen in a long time. And yes I'll admit it is a tear-jerker with a happy ending!!!! I HIGHLY recomend this movie for any Father with heart!! You will NOT be disapointed..

) This is a family favorite. I rented it for my daughter and I to watch on a girls night, and the boys (of which we are way outnumbered) loved it just as much. Great for a family night. No language, sex, nudity to worry about. Just an excellent movie with a great moral tale. Enjoy! We bought it and watch it over and over.
