Radio Shack TRC-521 40-Channels Base CB Radio

I purchased this item because I was looking for a CB with scanner, it was listed as a unite with scanner, however, it did not have the scanner option as stated in the orginal discription. I contacted the seller, and he stated he sold it for a friend, and the friend sait it had the scanner option. He said that he would credit me with $20.00, which he did. Now the major problem with this radio was, (he said it was in working order) but it was not. It transmitted ok, but it did not receive. Now I contact the seller once again, and he said to bad. Well that's fine with me, I would have sent it back to him, but I already had about $20.00 in shipping, and it would cost me another $20.00 to ship it back, and I the shipping to and from, would have cost me more that the radio with worth, so I tossed it out. Another example of a item I purchase was a set of walky talkys, not from the same person, however, it stated that they were in working order, but needless to say, one worked, and the other one did not. I toss those out also. In the meantime, most of the product I have purchase on ebay, has been good, as well as the people I purchased the items from. These are just two bad apples out of maybe 10 purchased or so, that makes me receiving about 80% good.
