This is one of the 30-minute meal cookbook by Rachael Ray, which means from preparation to chopping to finish cooking, all the meals in this book takes 30 min. Maybe longer for me since I often lacking ingredients. :) The cooking part is easy. Most recipes out there are measured for ~4 person. When I only need to cook for 2 and cut down the ingredients to half portion sugguested, what about the cooking time? Do I lower the oven temparature and shorten the cooking time? Or when I want to make a 4 person recipe into 8, how much more should I add? This book addresses all these questions because it has recipes just for 2, 4, 6, and 8 person. In fact, the book is divided into 4 sections:
Meals for 2 (25 meals)
Meals for 4 (34 meals)
Meals for 6 (22 meals)
Meals for 8 (19 meals)
Each individual meal has 3-4 courses. The combination for each meal are always good and well balanced. That's Rachael Ray! It's got international flavors.
There are 8 pages total color pictures for the meals.
It's got full meal, such as brunch, lunch, and dinner. It also has mid-night snacks for night owls. The text and comments are fun to read, too. Not boring at all.
Great book! Cooking should be fun and low stress.
Happy cooking!
