Received the book in excellent condition and it was delivered promptly, just as expected. For some reason I am being required to write more about this order, but I have told you everything. It went just as I had hoped. I would not hesitate to buy from this dealer again. The packaging was perfect. The book is still perfect. The paper work was excellent. I hope this is 100 characters long.

  RABBIT AT REST
Review created: 02/08/09
by:

As an ardent admiror of the late John Updike's works, we wish to make a general statement re "signed" editions; there are sellers offering Updike's works on eBay which purportedly are such.

Please be aware that "Rabbit At Rest:" and some other of Updike's works were printed by the Franklin Library as "signed limited editions"; these were not personally signed by John Updike but are facsimile signatures. For a signature to be valuable, it needs to be an inscription to an individual (even to someone who has stood on line at a "book signing"); this would be an "authentic" signature and give the inscription provenance.

  Absolutely the Best
Review created: 07/09/06

John Updike is absolutely one of the best American authors that has ever written. His Rabbit books are masterpieces in themselves and as an entire entity. His writing is brilliant and so outside the box, yet so easily relatable. I would recommend any reader no matter what your taste to experience the writing of John Updike.
