I purchased several other pictorial quilting books at the same time. But this was by far my favorite. It is beautifully illustrated and very descriptive.
Ms. Alofs writes very clearly so even a beginner can understand as she takes you through the technique from the very beginning to more detailed quilts. The book is arranged in lessons with each one teaching another level.
I loved this book, drooled over it many a night, and couldn't wait to get into my own picture quilting! I purchased it because I want to expand from traditional quilting into art quilting. I have beautiful photos from trips out west that cry for intrepretation.
This is one of the best quilting books I have ever purchased!
