Quiet Nights by Diana Krall (CD, Mar-2009, Verve USA)

This CD IS SO BAD, NOT Good Diana Krall. Super low keys and every song sounds like the same song. You couldn't sing along if you wanted to. A good CD FOR falling asleep if you have trouble. Honestly, this is the worst one she has out. I wish I hadn't bought it. This review is from a former jazz radio announcer. I know what I am talking about. Believe me. Ugh! If you listen once you will never listen again, it is a shelf dust catcher.

It has jazz feeling and comfortable sound.
So I like it .
When I go for a drive, I listen to music.

buys CD Diana Krall, I impressed by ear secretory in speaker Grundig, I recommend CD if you had budget.

A very nice mood setter! It has a good selection of songs that are performed well. Anyone who appreciates jazz will love it.

Does not have the energy of prior albums.

Diana always gives a outstanding performance, I'm not overly thrilled with her choice of songs, but love her playing and singing.

Love it! Very similar to Sinatra's; I like this lady's voice and delivery. The arrangements are great. The mixing is great (hate it when the orchestra is so loud you can't hear the singer).Every track is wonderful.
Her piana playing is as good as her vocals. She's dynamite!

This is a CD for people who are new to jazz. It is very easy to listen to and like as some of these songs are covers. I am a Diana fan, but would recommend this for new to jazz listeners as well.

If there is one D. Krall CD to own, Quiet Nights is the one. Wether you pay attention to it or listen to in on background to a nice evening with friends, this is on my CD player for the past month.

I have all of her recordings and looked forward to this one being released. This is softer, more meloncholy, and romantic Diana. If you expect the typically fast-paced jazz, with a lot of bass interludes setting a pace, it is not here. It reminds me of the Sinatra recording, "Only for the Lonely," which has remained a popular choice for romantic evenings for decades. Reviews of this cd, that I have read, are mixed, some feeling disapointment. I find the CD to be a welcome addition to her previous recorded efforts and, because it is soft and warm, I play it a lot more as pleasant background music on social occasions. Retired General.

I have all of Diana Krall's cds. Loved this cd, one of Krall's best. She has a bluesy voice, perfect for the song selections. Great gift to give to that "special" person.

What a deep, rich, smoldering voice! Reminds me of Julie London/Peggy Lee all rolled into one. This lady drips with sensuality. The accompaniment is some of the best I have heard in years. Just lovely!
