Queer as Folk: The Complete Series (DVD, 2007, Multiple Disc Set)

Excellent Series. Full set including reunion show. Highly Recommended if you have ever heard or seen this show.

This series is courageous, outrageous, controversial, dramatic, funny, explicit, heart-warming and heart-breaking. The first episode (which actually combines episodes one and two) is a big shock, because the actors and crew treat the subject with unflinching honesty. They don't hold anything back. As the series goes on, the graphic sexuality becomes just another part of the characters' lives, often working to accentuate whatever circumstances their relationships may be in. If you watch two or three episodes, you're hooked and will do the same thing I did---watch as many episodes as possible, one after the other. Friendships break, are fixed, new people come into the lives of the characters. New romances are forged, old ones die...but the fact that you come to love the characters, you cry for them when they hurt, you cheer (and scream and holler) when good things happen to them, that they feel like family in the end...that's the constant. TV doesn't get any better than this.

I ordered the red box set seasons 1-5.They really are of the poorest quality and skip and freeze often. "very annoying" a couple disks wouldent even play at all. I love the show but would suggest buying a better quality box set.

It's simple the best, the series consider de gay life in different aspects of true life, the characters deal with day to day life moments

Packaged well and just a nice set to have overall. It has all of the seasons and they are organized in an easy to find way. This is the second one I have purchased and they are also a great gift if you might know someone who liked the series.

My fiance purchased it for me because i had never seen the whole series. he found it easier to just get the entire collection than having to go get the individual seasons. the box that held it together was REAL cheaply made tho. still love it.

Best show ever. You'll fall in love with the characters and their lives. You feel like you know them and really care about them.

I love this show, so bought the complete series/ box set. All the DVDs in the set play & quality is pretty good. The item was not "factory sealed" but wrapped in a cellophane type plastic. Other DVD sets I have purchased have been shrink wrapped.
Each folder holding the DVDs says "Complete First Season" on the front and a small printed label has been placed over the spine to indicate what season is in that folder ( First, Second through Fifth).
I like to support U.S. vendors/products and noticed this was listed coming from Pennsyvania. However, it shipped from China. Makes me wonder if it was a knock off.

Queer As Folk The Complete Series. Well done, good design, a lot of good things in that litle box ! Good quality ! Widescreen version. The packaging is cool and well done.

I love having the entire set in one - though I have to admit the packaging isn't as attractive as I would have liked. The purchase of this box set was ALMOST superfluous since I already had each season's individual box sets; but this set comes with one (sadly only one) bonus disc with some great stuff on it - especially a ninety minute reunion special. As a die hard Queer As Folk fan, it was essential that I make this purchase. At over a hundred dollars, though (I got it cheaper than retail by buying off Ebay), it might not be the wisest purchase for NON die hard fans who already possess the season sets.

If you love Queer As Folk and don't have the previous releases, this is the way to go, though!

Loved the characters although too much gay male sex could of used more female sex but loved it either way. The actors were fantastic and I loved the story lines.

This series is great entertainment and dvd set is in good condition.

I love the series. The set is just what I wanted/needed for my movie library. For any one who enjoys this series, this is the ideal set to have. It also doesn't take up a lot of space, which is very convenient

I watched the first season to Queer as Folk and wanted more. Few stores in my area carry the show and I didn't want to be judged for buying a series all about the gay community. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is a great series and I was greatly saddened when Show time ended it. However, my thoughts on the show is a semi-true outlook of what life is like to be gay. One of many shows that portray a realistic view of the Homosexual world. If you take out the amount of drugs that is used.

The view of what life is like for an 18 year old to be in school, as the only student that is "Out" and having other students hate or discriminate towards. This is a good view of how Children are treated in today's world, when they find that they are Gay.

As well of the story that Justin has, the view of Micheal and having to show a "Straight" life in the work force, is also a good view of most employment.

Every show will have its Hollywood spin, and this show doesn't have any lack of it. The Drugs, Backstage of the clubs; bar and parties are not a realistic view. But it does ad entertainment to the show.

Queer as Folk was, and still is THE defining and groundbreaking piece of television. It changed the way for gay television and non-gay television alike. It is extremely sexual, sometimes vulgar, and shocking, but at the same time a very realistic portrayal of gay life, love, and the events surrounding it. It's just a shame it had to end only 5 years in, but it's probably for the better that the show went out on top, and that it did it with style. Another great thing about this show is that it doesn't judge its characters and the things they do, because hey, it's human.

Probably one of, if not the best television series out there, this show is extremely addictive, and it knows how to pull the strings of your heart, and make you laugh, feel anger, and cry. (I'm not kidding about the cry thing, just wait until you see the first season finale.)

For its fans, "Queer As Folk: The Complete Series" is a no-brainer must own. For people who have never seen this show, it is a must see, whether you are gay, straight, bisexual, a republican, a democrat, or an independent.

I was very pleased that this seller was acually telling the truth about the product and the shipping. I got the movies very quickly and have had no problems. And excellent item!!!!

The item dics were not scratch, rather really new. The box was a bit banged up but I am sure that was because of the mailing. It would have been nice to know that it was mailed from China, but other than that it was a good deal. Thank you.
