The Queen of the Damned (DVD, 2002, Full Frame)

This movie, in my opinion, was an atrocity. First, the acting, overall, was rather poor. I found the characterizations rather flat. The writers lost sight of the depth that these characters possessed in the Anne Rice novel. The actors didn't lend anything extraordinary to help the characters rise above the poor writing.

The movie was so untrue to the original story. I can see deleting some scenes or omitting some characters, but what was done to this brilliant book and its wonderful characters was unforgivable.

Anne Rice writes books that have very well developed character. They are all multi-dimensional and have very rich pasts. This movie forgot all that. It even changed who the creator of LaStat was. How do you do that and stay true to the story line and the characters?

This movie was a huge disappointment. If you want to see a movie inspired by one of Anne Rice's vampire novels, stick "Interview."

I loved this movie too. Not to mention it was the last thing Alyah was in before she passed away. This is a great movie to watch with friends. Has a great soundtrack as well as great special effects

This is by far my favorite movie and possibly one of the best vampire movies of all time. Stuart Townshend and Aaliyah both do magnificent in their roles. The best thing about this movie is that it mixes monsters, awesome hard rock music, love, and style. If you purchase or rent this movie make sure you watch the Lestat music videos in the special features. They are to die for...

It is a great movie. I have seen it before and have always wanted to add it to my collection. The movie is worth every penny

This movie got a bad rap because it doesn't follow the book terribly well. Who cares! I loved the book but I can take the movie just for what it is....an exciting account of Lestat the Vampire's foils with Queen Akasha who wants to basically destroy the world. What a perfect wicked protagonist he is! And hot too, in this movie. (I was impressed that the film-makers had the nerve to include a bloody kissing scene between those 2 gorgeous specimens.) Watch this movie if you like seeing beautiful goths, decadent lifestyle, sensual encounters, HARD ROCK, and naive humans...

I have to admit I was pretty pumped to see this movie, being a huge fan of Interview with the Vampire (by the way I reviewed that one also and gave it 5/5), I was disappointed. The story was all right, but Stuart Townsend is no Tom Cruise. Not even close. If you like the 1st movie, this is a big letdown. That being said, it's still not too bad. The rock-n-roll vampire thing is kind of corny, but Aaliyah does a decent job as the Queen vampire. I think if Cruise would have been in this one, it would've been a lot better. Maybe the bar was set too high for me with the first movie.

I loved this move just as much as i love the vampire chronicle novels by anne rice this was based on details both from the vapire lestat and the queen of the dammed novels. Everything in themove wa svery similar to the book except for 2 things akasha was not black and marius was a blonde with blue eyes.

this movie rocks.and i rented it.The Queen of the Damned (2002, DVD) was based on a book by ann rice .i personaly like the movie better.

was good, but not as good as "Interview with the Vampire." Aaliyah
was great in this and it's a shame she's gone because she was a
very beautiful and talented young woman. Stuart Townsend was good
as Lestat, but I like Tom Cruise's portrayal a little better. This
dvd is nice because it not only has decent picture and sound, but
great extras. If you enjoy vampire films, I recommend picking this
up.

Dvd is in good condition and plays well. I recieived prompt fast delivery and the seller answered all of my questions.

still have not gotten item yer and no response from seller,this is been a problem for my last 2 dvd 's i have ordered.so i think i will stop getting dvd's from e-bay for now

One of the best vampire movies out there, it doesn't get any better then this, its a must have for any vampire fanatics like me.

We love gothic vampire movies and we love aliyah. God rest her soul we will never forget her. She is one of my favorite singer since she first started when she was about fifteen. We bought the movie as a birthday gift for my husband who loves aliyah. This movie is great and the music is awesome.

I loved how fast it got to me, and how easy it was to buy... I was a little disappointed with the design on the back of the CD but cant do anything about it but try to clean it... But it works so overall GOOD!!!

I did like this movie but there were a few things that I think could have been better. One, was Aalyiah's acting. Not to say that it wasn't good, but I think it needed more power. She was supposed to be the queen and you didn't really feel that. Second, if you're going to do a sequel to another movie, you should try really hard to use the same actor's. This goes for ANY movie. It's just a pet-pieve of mine is all, nothing really to do with the movie.

I bought it as a Christmas present for a friend and she loved it!!!! It is a movie she has liked for a long time and I received it in great condition in plastic so it worked out wonederfully!!!
