Quantum of Solace (PS2) - decent

I played the PS2 version and from what I know, the PS3, X360, and Wii versions are significantly different, and I know nothing about them. What I can tell you is that the PS2 game is a OK production. The game is limited to a one player story mode of 10 missions with cutscenes and tolerable load times. The fighting style is over the shoulder, in other words, Bond isn't centered on screen. The combat is largely based on stealth, but includes levels of automatic blaring action. The graphics and sound are decent to good. The AI is excellent; however, the animation is sometimes lame and unrealistic. The shooting and targeting system is really good, but silent kills and melee attacks are a joke. Basically all the action is based on guns (2 different pistols, 2 or 3 automatics, 1 shotty and 1 sniper throughout the game), with no gadgets or secondary weapons of any kind. The combat is fun though, with features like taking cover, pre-aiming for quick ambush, health regeneration, and worthy adversaries. Secrets and unlockables are rare or nonexistent. Also, sometimes the movement system is awkward and the view is difficult. I thought it was worth the price of about $20. Overall I found the levels fun and pretty engaging. Buy this game if you want a single player, linear game that can be conquered in 6 - 8 hours.
