  Teri Hatcher as Sam's Girlfriend
Review created: 04/22/07

I First Noticed Teri Hatcher.... in the Quantum Leap TV Show as the girlfriend of Dr Sam Beckett, (Scott Bakula), in an early 1989 episode.

By the time Quantum Leap needed her back for the Donna Eleese role, she had gone on to playing Katherine 'Kiki" Tango in the TV series 'Tango & Cash'.

She went on to play Lois Lane in the TV series 'Lois and Clark, the New Adventures of Superman', as pictured to the left.

Today we all know her as playing Susan in the hit TV show 'Desperate Housewives' !

I thought her performance in Quantum Leap was excellent, and when the girlfriend was shown again, I was disappointed it was not her playing the role.

Teri studied ballet, was a cheerleader with the San Francisco 49ers, among other things, before turning actress.

Teri's early reknown was for the Lois & Clark series, but she has also acted in 'Spy Kids', 'Tomorrow Never Dies' - a James Bond film, a recurring role in MacGyver, and several other TV & Film roles!

She adds a lot to the current hit series 'Desperate Housewives', but I will never forget first finding her in Quantum Leap. She had the 'Star' quality even then! I also feel that she really did fit into her Lois Lane role !

So there is more than just Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell in this series! It was the supporting guest actors that really helped make this TV show shine!

Michael

I've always loved Quantum Leap. It's definately on my list of favorite TV shows, probably ranked at two or three. It has everything: "fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles..." (quoted from the Princess Bride). Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell are amazing in it!
I must admit, the animation in it isn't quite as good as I remembered when I was younger. I also must say it's a shame the first season is only 9 episodes long (but when you consider each episode is a little under an hour long, that ain't bad!). Then there's the whole futuristic year 2000 in it... for future reference (to any and all movie makers who will never read this) - if you're going futuristic, go BIG! Don't expect flying cars and light up shoes 20-30 years in the future!
I'm usually not into sci-fi, but Quantum leap is a classic. It's a great buy, and next time I'm in the market for purchasing TV on DVD, I'll be getting season two.

The show that made me love science

This is the best sci-fi to come out of the late eighty's early 90's it follows the experiment that sam becket (scott bakula) started in the new mexico desert.
Following a test due to the loss of funding he is transported into time. And has to correct errors in peoples lives and by doing that making the world a little better one small step at a time. This show is great for children it has history, science and adventure. If you never saw it when it was on tv buy season 1. It really is that good and fun

  Quantum Leap 1st Season
Review created: 03/28/09

There is something about the 1st Series of anything... I guess it is just it trying to find it's boundaries. These episodes are rather "disjointed" but nevertheless very entertaining. Remember, it is a "fairy tale" anyway! They are interesting and fun to watch, especially the cigar-smoking friend from "future time." How the main character gets by is always an edge of the seat adventure. I guess that is what makes this enjoyable... the flexiblity and ability for him to lie about things on the fly.

One of the ten best TV shows of all time!
Review created: 02/23/09

Sam Beckett has a date with destiny. Where will he end up next? Get ready to join Dr. Sam Beckett on the adventure of many lifetimes! Who will he be this time? Mafia hitman, Air Force test pilot, professional boxer. Sam does it all in Season One of the groundbreaking, 5-time Emmy award winning series, "Quantum Leap". Scott Bakula plays Sam Beckett, a time traveler who never knows whose body he is going to "leap" into next, and at what moment in history he may find himself. Sam is joined by a helpful but easily distracted holographic guide, Al (Dean Stockwell), who assists him on his missions and aids Sam in his ultimate goal of returning to his own life in the present. Bonus features include "A Kiss With History: Remembering Quantum Leap", in which series stars Bakula and Stockwell, along with creator Don Bellisario share stories about creating their groundbreaking series. This featurette will take viewers behind the scenes of "Quantum Leap's" first year, including stories about Bakula's extensive and demanding training, Stockwell's wild wardrobe and the fans' invaluable contribution to the show. Episodes include "Genesis Parts 1 & 2", which introduced the series to an entire television audience; "The Color Of Truth", regarded by many as one of the finest examples of this show; and "Play It Again Seymour". What makes this program so unique and very intriguing is that it has an originality all its own, with every episode happening in a different time and place. "Quantum Leap" is more than just great family entertainment; it ranks as one of television's finest productions; and this complete first season shows why.

Time is a Treasure as is Quantum Leap
Review created: 11/07/08

Time Travel is fascinating to me.This series was well written well cast well portrayed and a time piece for all to enjoy. It is not available for download because it is well protected as any treasure should be.This item was the best priced and a fairer price than retail. It is an excellent series and worth watching especially when modern television has very little worth watching. The saying more channels less to watch apples.

Quantum Leap DVD series-A great quality family show!
Review created: 09/08/08
by:

I remember seeing and enjoying this series years ago. I bought it now to enjoy with my children who, like me, also love it. Sam Becket, played by Scott Backula (now stars in Enterprise) is a mild mannered quantum physics genius with limited memory of his past before leaping. He has the help of Al, his faithful hologram assistant to help guide him on missions they believe are controlled by God. The series is based on Sam fixing things that once when wrong in personal lives of the people he leaps into. It captured my attention years ago not only because it was a fresh concept of leaping through time, but also because they weren't afraid to address controversial issues but was careful to be factual in content. Unique in this series is the fact that Sam can only leap within his own lifetime (mostly 50's - 70's). Mixing sci-fi with good wholesome morals and values this series makes a great addition to your family library of movies. This show wasn't afraid to promote religion, another plus in my opinion. Something modern day shows seem to purposely stay away from. We need more good wholesome shows like this one that we can enjoy watching with our children. I highly recommend this Dvd series.

  Quantum Leap
Review created: 04/29/08

I started watching Quantum Leap toward the end of the series and then in syndication after the show ended.

I always enjoyed the series and thought the concept was very creative. Each story has it's own revelation and makes you feel good at the end.

The series only gets better as you watch, but season 1 shows how everything go started and you can see the growth of both Sam and Al.

The DVD has each episode and a nice dialogue section with Scott and Dean telling about their experiences. Great set.

  Incredible!
Review created: 10/09/06

This is the most addictive series I've ever watched. I can't get enough, and I'm so ready for season 2. If you've never watched Quantum Leap, hold on tight, because this series will blow you away. Drawbacks? Well, Sam's sidekick is downright raunchy at times, a factor that may make you want to cover your children's ears. But, forgiving that, I can't stop watching! 5 out of 5! Excellent!

  Quantum Leap-Season one (2004,DVD)
Review created: 08/07/06

I also like the sci-fi aspect of this show.Someone fixing what had gone wrong and making it right. But the part I really like is that no one else knows that it is him doing it and that he,has no control over who's life he is going too fix next.It is a great series.
