As a old school gamer, espcially in id software's area when DooM became my alltime favorite back in the 93, i have loved everything id pushed out including Doom, Heretic, Hexen, and Quake.

And in this remake, everyone and his little brother wanted this game on the pc, except during its time, it was a little hard to come by since it required alot video and ram memory in your computer in order to run. I remember on my ACER i couldnt even do that, since it was a piece of crap anyways.

I don't know why these people gave it a bad review and someone claming this to be an RPG, its a first shooter just like DooM is. Trust me this is a rather good purchase, but only if you like get to the point shooters, so don't expect this to be HalfLife 2.

Other respectable mentions: DooM 64 & Goldeneye 007

The Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Killer! Yeah Right!!! (Angry As Hell WRITE-OFF)

Pros:
Good Graphics, Original Magic System...

Cons:
Boring Gameplay, Dull Music, Way Too Short...

In my opinion the Super Nintendo has at least 50% of the worlds greatest RPGs on it. So naturally one would think that the follow up to the Super Nintendo (The Nintendo 64) would have at least a few killer RPGs on it, right? Well I can still remember seeing screenshots of a remake of the widely popular Final Fantasy 6, this remake was announced for the Nintendo 64 and thrusted everyone's favorite RPG into the world of 3-D, with polygons up the waazooh. Well then after the screens were released Squaresoft announced that they would not support the Nintendo 64, and that they would start...

The Quest for a good RPG continues

Pros:
Decent battle system, those roots looked cool

Cons:
The rest of the graphics are bad, poor character building, weak story, more than a blurb can describe.

One of the things that marked the Super Nintendo as one of the greatest video game systems ever was the excellent variety of games in all genres. In particular, many of the greatest role-playing games ever released have been Super Nintendo games. Thus, it may surprise many people to learn that the N64 is the second-weakest system when it comes to role-playing games, with the Dreamcast last solely due to its young age. Thus, when I first heard about Quest 64, I was excited that a RPG would finally be released. Boy, was I stung. First, the most important part of the game, the story. This is so..

Pros:
game mechanics are good for beginners, some scenes are absolutely gorgeous

Cons:
poor soundtrack, little or no exploration required, is there a point to any of this?

Quest 64's single most redeeming feature was the fact that it was released before Zelda 64. That was the only reason to consider buying this game. Of course, that was two years ago, so holding the honor of being first hardly applies today. Quest 64 reminds me, in structure, of the early role-playing games of the original Nintendo Entertainment System (and the music sounds like it was written for that game system as well). You assume the role of a boy named Brian, the hero of the story, whose goal is to recover the Eletale Book, a powerful sorcerer's relic, while searching for your father, an..

 I feel dirty knowing I played this...game

Pros:
The graphics look great!

Cons:
There are no words to describe how bad this game really is.

Quest 64 it looks great that s about it. As one of 2 or 3 actual role playing games for the N64, you would have thought they would have put something in the game other than cool graphics. If you want to just look at it then this is a great game to buy! If you want to play it well I sorry to report there just isn t a game to play here. The SNOREyline Brian a young wizard sets out to save the world! That s about it. Nope, there isn t anything else to it. Sure he will meet up with other non player characters in the game who will give him information that doesn t help him with anything at all but.

 Slightly better than PONG.

Pros:
None

Cons:
not user friendly and not entertaining in the least.

I was looking for something different at my local video store when I spotted Quest64. Since I liked Zelda, I thought this might be a good game to try. Boy am I glad I only wasted a few dollars renting it! If I had bought it, I would have been mad at myself for wasting good money. This game starts out boring and then goes downhill from there. It took me 20 minutes just to search the castle and find nothing but a few loaves of bread and some worthless advice from characters that can't seem to move. Then you go down a spiral path with no enemies, no characters, no scenery, and definitely no...
