When it comes to first-person shooters, id Software has the market cornered. Unfortunately, if you didn't own a PC, you couldn't get in on the action until now. With QUAKE III: Arena for the Dreamcast, you can do everything a PC gamer can do. You can play a single-player game against the computer-controlled bots, take on three friends with a Four-Player split-screen mode, or go online and play against other fraggers on the Internet. Multiplayer offers several different modes, including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Tournament. You'll get most of the maps from the PC version and even some that are exclusive to the Dreamcast. If you want to get the full QUAKE experience, plug in your keyboard and mouse to get the same precise control as the PC. So learn how to strafe, keep your eyes peeled, and look out for snipers as you enter the arena of QUAKE III: Arena.

    The Dreamcast version is weak compared to the 360. However in its day it was a very cool game for this system

    Xbox 360 Next Generation Graphics are very cool and the game has so much awesome shooters scenes that is definitely one of my favorite games. They spent the time needed to make the visual aspect of the game a great addition to my favorites. Thumbs up!
