Iv'e never been to the U.K. This movie gave us a look at what was going on there while we were listening to the Beatles. I'm a huge Who fan and it gave me a look at where they came from.

  Better than I remembered

Anybody that calls themself a WHO fan needs this dvd in their collection. By far their best album put on the silver screen! The screenplay altered the original story a little bit, but doesn't distract. (Jimmy never worked in an office nor stole a scooter) The conclusion was tremendous though. A great history lesson on the early 60's British Mod culture.

  A MOD Classic!

Quadrophenia is one of my all time favorite albums and while Pete Townshend may not agree with the adaption of this album I feel it does justice for the story and the man who created it.

This story is a great representation of the mod movement and youngsters trying to come to terms with the real world, identity and relationships.

This movie in many ways is romanticized but the underlying truth is almost as strong as that portrayed in "This is England."

As someone who lives 20 miles from Brighton and who`s sister used to be a mod this is a brilliant film.Unfortunately i was a Seventies child (punk rock)so never experienced the mods and rockers. Can`t understand why other reviewer only gave it 1/5.This film is far better than Tommy !!!!!!!!!!

This movie is nothing like, Tommy. Not only does it lack a steady accompanyment of music, like Tommy, the songs being few and far between, but the movie has no plot or direction, and what there is, is not believable. This movie is terrible period. If it had more (alot more) music it would be salvagable, but unfortunately this is not the case. Don't waste your time with this tedious endeavour.
