  Pyromania- Def Leppard (CD) 1987

Finding it hard to find rock music from the eighties,I decided to go on Ebay to find my favorite groups.Def Leppard being one of them. I highly recommend Ebay for finding music that is hard to find at the stores or music shops.Understanding that some of the music may be used as was my Def Leppard CD.However, the seller is obligated to explain that it has been used and what condition it is in! The CD I purchased was awesome, and I've never had any trouble with any of my "already used" merchandise purchases including other music CD's!!

One of the greatest rock albums ever. Period.

This is the rock and roll of my teen years, and I still listen to it. Bought this album to burn onto my iPod. Simply one of the best rock albums ever written.

product is exactly as i imagined

I'm a huge Def Leppard fan, I've been collecting memorabilia from 1988 to present. Now my interest is in their older stuff, especially original items. Something as small as this cd is just one more thing I didn't have in my vast collection. The only down side to this purchase is, it's not brand new, but this way it's more affordable and the most important thing- the cd works like new!

  Not Enough Thomas Dolby
Review created: 09/06/07

I am probably not the right person to write this review. I am a big Thomas Dolby fan, and I found out that he did the keyboards on it, so I thought I would give it a try, it isn't available on iTunes. I was of course disappointed when I found no palpable trace of Dolby on it. I should say that regardless of that I tried to give it a try on its own - still, I don't like it. But, if you are going to buy it for reasons other than Dolby, you may not find it objectionable.

Get this one. Why? Only cause it has Die Hard The Hunter and Action! Not Words! These songs are good, and enjoyable. Bily's Got a Gun really hits a spot, reminescent of 18 and Life. Photograph is a heck of a track, and it is the big single for this album. Rock! Rock! is a heck of an opener, with great opening riffs and a fast beat. Stagefright is a great tour opener, and is rivaled by Rock of Ages in style and ability. Another great album to be bought.

Sometimes there's nothing left to say but "gunter glieben glauchen globen"

Pros:
Simply one of the most crushing rock releases ever. It still works.

Cons:
Most of the fools in metaldom spent the following decade trying to copy it.

I suppose that everybody has an album that defined their childhood, the one that caused them to spend countless hours playing air guitar (or air ukulele, if you live in Hawaii) in front of the full-length mirror. Most white people my age probably started with KISS, and I knew more than a few black kids who spent an awful lot of time trying to master the moonwalk and Michael Jackson's voice back in the early 1980's. Hey wait, I think I did too for a brief time. In 1983, Def Leppard was the coolest group of white dudes on the planet for me. In fact, I seem to remember that Bringin' On The...

Def Lep's Pyromania: A Rock Album For the Ages
Review created: 05/23/04
by: MattA75 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
great melodies/harmonies, rocks hard at times, no real bad songs

Cons:
Lange's problem with Rick Allen

When the band Def Leppard is brought up, oh so many people consider them a relic of the hair band era that MTV gave us. They get lumped in with the Cinderellas and the Wingers and the Strypers. But while all those bands sucked (yes, Cinderella sucked people, badly I might add), in terms of creating albums that stand the test of time, Def Lep belongs more in the category of a Bon Jovi, though their latter albums haven't sold nearly as well as Jovi's (only 1999's Euphoria has gone gold since the band's last multi-platinum sales success, 1992's Adrenalize). With Pyromania, Def Leppard became one.

Def Leppard's Pyromania - Igniting the 80's and beyond...

Pros:
Great songs. Classic Def Leppard sound. A classic that will survive the rock of ages...

Cons:
None really.

Want to feel old? Consider this. Anyone who was born during the time when Def Leppard released their breakthrough, multi-platinum, enormously popular album Pyromania can now drive, vote and, in some places, drink beer legally. 18 years. It's been 18 years since this somewhat soft metal band released that album that would change everything for them. Everything for the better, and everything for the worse. Prior to 1983's release of Pyromania, Def Leppard, an English hard-rock/metal band, garnered limited success with their debut album entitled On Through the Night (1980) and more wide-spread...

  PYROMANIA. ........ Burns inside me
Review created: 04/09/01
by: missy32 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Lyrics are the best, Joe Elliot really sings great,

Cons:
NONE

If you grew up in the 80 s and you loved rock and roll music, then you had to have heard of this awesome rock band called DEF LEPPARD. The 80 s were a time when rock and roll was changing. You had the new groups that wore make up and dressed up like women, and you had the groups that were just strange all around. But with Def Leppard they were a rock band that looked normal. Good old jeans and t-shirts. Def Leppard has many CD s out, but I have to say this is one of the best albums they released. DEF LEPPARD went through many changes, including their drummer losing his one arm. This didn t...

  Def Leppard: Pyromania
Review created: 08/16/00
by: Chris_Billings -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Great sound. Several tracks are now greatest hits. Another great British rock group. Rick Allen still has his left arm!

Cons:
Only 10 tracks long. And what's with that weird sound effects at the end of Track 10!?!?

I have been a Def Leppard fan for a very long time. I grew up listening to them on the radio in the 80's. Def Leppard is probably one of the best rock bands to live through the 80's and now into the 90's. 1983's Pyromania was Def Leppard's third album, and boy it was a great one. Three songs on this album made it on their greatest hits album. Several others should of too! Def Leppard is: Joe Elliot- Lead Vocals Steve Clark- Guitars Phil Collen- Guitars Rick Allen- Drums Rick Savage- Bass Guitar Pete Willis- "Invisible" Guitarist The album is only 10 tracks long, but it is still one of the...
