"PUZZLE QUEST" Review (Nintendo DS)

I am a Gamer. As a Gamer, I enjoy a minor amount of different genres & styles of games. I enjoy RPGs (role-playing games) such as Final Fantasy, Dungeons & Dragons, and so on. I also enjoy a good Puzzle game every so often, such as TETRIS, Dr. Mario or Bejeweled. "Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords" is like the perfect combination @ marriage of BOTH.
I originally rented & then bought it for the PS2, not knowing it already had a fan base on the Nintendo DS & the PlayStation Portable (PSP).
I then went shopping & picked up my Nintendo DS. As soon as I had that in my hands, I went looking for "Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords". I had found it used in good condition & bought it along with my DS. I really enjoyed playing it on my DS constantly trying to frantically plug in my DS to the outlet to both charge my DS & continue playing my quest(s).
For my fellow Gamers out there who like & enjoy any Puzzle or RPG games out there, I would say that *THIS* is the perfect game for you. The controls are quite easy to learn & get used to with the stylus. But for the BEST experience with it, I'd recommend that you shop around, like maybe BEST BUY, and get yourself a flexible stylus. That way you can wrap it around your finger to point & drag the gems from side to side & up & down.
You must match RED, YELLOW, GREEN & BLUE GEMS in order to acquire mana for spells & skills. The gems correspond to the elements of FIRE, AIR, EARTH & WATER (RED/YELLOW.GREEN/BLUE). You also must collect Gold for items in the same manner when you match up the Coins in the puzzle field, Skulls do instant damage to your enemy, and Red Skulls add %5 extra points of instant damage & also explode & destroy any & all gems around it & add them to your Mana Pool.
Unfortunately, I let someone borrow my original used copy only to never see it again, which is why I bought it again from here on eBay.
I *WILL* give everyone a fair warning though: **IT IS VERY ADDICTIVE!!!**
Make sure that if you must play it a lot, that you're on a vacation from work or don't have anything very important to do because you may get side-tracked easily. You may even have "nightmares" of shifting gems, LOL.
In all seriousness though, I do believe that you will all enjoy the game if you get yourself a copy.
OR, in my case, since I like it so much, I have 4 copies: Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PC *AND* cell phone for when I'm at work, hahaha.
