Putumayo Presents: Nuevo Latino by Various Artists (CD, May-2004, Putumayo)

Although I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN, I LOVE music and find myself being drawn to my "roots," which include being half Puerto Rican. Just last year I visited the island with my family and remember the wonderful music ... meringue, bolero mixed with the "new age" salsa, hip hop sounds. While checking out a certain EBAY vendor that offer PR items, I noticed this "new" CD offered. I ordered it and played it. It delivered everything it promised ... a fushion of Latin rhythms ... including reggae, electronic, rock, tango etc. Like Puerto Rico, this CD blends music from Latin American, Europe and the United States offered in eleven selections from Cuban to Spain to Algeria to France musicians and more. I might not understand all the words but I understand the music which speaks of living life to the fullest. This album keeps me dancing and smiling with wonderful happy rhythms. What is there to dislike?
