How can you go wrong with Putumayo? I have been collecting thier Putumayo Presents cds for years. If you don't have the time to find your "essentials" in any musical category this is where to begin FOR SURE. This particular item "FRENCH CAFE" is delightful. With the old "classics" and some current cool stuff too. Very nice compilation.

Being a coffee snob is almost passe. However, enjoying good music is never out of style. The Putumayo brand is well served here, picking up trends from countries where coffee grows, and letting you drink it in. Nothing really sensational, butt nicely stimulating. Maybe an Arabiata, not a Robusto.

Purchase very timely. CD arrived as expected. First heard this CD at one of my Yoga sessions, very nice to listen to just to relax.

I first heard this CD at an arts and crafts festival - it was playing in the background. I really liked its light, uplifting music and decided to buy one. Since then, I listen to this CD more than to any others! It is perfect for having friends over because it is very light and its in French, so you cant get too cought up in trying to listen to it! It's also relatively upbeat and not too slow, so it sets perfect mood. I also play it when it's just me and my boyfriend during dinner or when I just want something on the background. It's one of the best launch CDs that I've ever heard! And it's perfect for most occasions!
And you'll like it no matter what type of music you normally listen to. For example, my boyfriend loved it (to my big surprise!) even though he normally listens to punk and heavy metal.
It's definitely excellent and and highly recommended! I'm planning on purchasing more CDs of this nature.
