I absolutely love this DVD..had been looking for it and found here on ebay at a great price!!! DVD was exactly as the seller described!!! Brand new and in mint condition!!! I will be enjoying this DVD for a longgggggggg time!!

I liked the beginning of the DVD, before the movie starts, the way that they infused action movements of Prince with Purple Rain playing in the background.
I also liked the special features,with the interviews of the cast and crew, plus the videos, and shots of the Premeires.
I didn't like the fact that there were no interviews with Prince, Apollonia, or Morris Day.
I decided to buy it, because this is an important part of music history,and I wanted to add it to my Prince Library.
All in All, it was definitely worth the purchase, especially for the price!

Who doesn't like, Purple Rain? Just in case you are one of the uninitiated, I will sum it up as follows: Exellent music, exellent story, exellent acting, exellent writing, exellent direction. It is rare that you find a music movie so dramatic and touching. This is a very powerful movie, both a favorite and a classic in our family.

If you listened to music in the late 80's... you know Prince! And what isn't to love about Purple Rain??? Just so cool to go back to the 80's even if only for a couple of hours! Bought this because we've loved Purple Rain and didn't own in on DVD (only VHS) and we recently turned our daughter on to it...she loves it too! So...we had to buy the DVD!

I brought this particular movie because it was the first on my oldest son saw at
a drive in, this was a great gift to share with him. For myself I like the movie because it has some of Prince best ever recordings. The movie was in great shape and the package was well kept. If you have a flair for old movies this is the way to go.

Great movie, great soundtrack! I've been a Prince fan for years so adding the 20th Anniversary Edition of Purple Rain to my collection was a must! The 20th Anniversary edition has extra features like commentary with the actors and music videos for most of the soundtrack.

Purple MemoriesI remember watching Purple Rain when it was first released and being inspired by an amazing musician and performer from my home city. Prince was and remains a driving force in the music industry. The inspiration by his genius is a huge part of why I became a singer.
Watching Purple Rain over 20 years later was a wonderful testament that someone so talented is still recognized and thriving in his field and spirituality to this day. It was also interesting because I had forgotten what our downtown looked like since all the new changes.
I enjoyed all of the bonus footage and music videos. A wonderful purchase.
