Punky Brewster - Season One (DVD, 2004, 4 Disc Set)

I purchased this DVD for my grand daughters! When their mommy was little she was a carbon copy of Punky! Now I have a grand daughter who has that claim to fame! Emilee is six and is enjoying the shows when ever she comes to Gramma's house! She likes to think it's her in the shows! The DVDs are in wonderful condition and I'd like to get more of them soon! The shows are done in very good taste compared to so many TV shows today! I would never have thought to buy these but I was surfing Ebay and came across them! What a delight! I will be adding to our collection of
good clean family entertainment. Something thats hard to find these days! Although a little pricey with shipping and handling, it's still worth the extra investment. Thank you Ebay for making these items available for purchase!

I absolutely loved Punky Brewster when I was a little girl. Now, my little girl is a huge fan too!! The theme song brought back so many childhood memories.

The creators of this child-centered little masterpiece certainly knew what they were doing when they chose Soleil Moon Frye for the title role of Punky Brewster. The series opener is perhaps the most delightful episode to watch, since it introduces Punky for the first time and depicts how she starts the daunting process of wriggling her way into the heart of Henry Warnimont. Henry is little more than a grouchy old bachelor who prefers to keep to himself, but no task is too difficult for little Punky, and within hours she begins inching into his affectionate grasp.

I doubt I have ever seen any child actress take to a role the way Soleil Moon Frye did with this character. Her absolutely adorable presence and hilarious honesty was more than enough to establish this show as a guilty pleasure not just for children, but for many adults who appreciate the image of how tender, simple, and innocent life can be for the young at heart. Frye absolutely glows all the way through in this role; she will ALWAYS be remembered as Punky Brewster, and judging from the spirit and authenticity that resonates with every episode, that's probably one of the greatest honors she could ever hope to find.

This DVD took me way back!! I watched every episode with my 7 year old and he is hooked! Great condition and Fast delivery! A+

It was great to see these old shows again and to introduce them to my daughter. Interviews were also great, but would have loved it if more of the main characters had been interviewed. The show, although corny at times, is still very cute and good lessons for young children watching with adults. The added features of the cartoon were also enjoyable.

Would recommend it to anyone with kids!

i love punky brewster i bought it because punky brewster was a big part of my chilhood i remmber watching the show a good family show you dont see shows like this today soliel moon frye was my role model she showed kids everyone has punky power if they look inside themselves now 30 i can share the show with my child its wonderful memories for eveyone who remembers the show..

Punky was such a hot thing when I was a kid. I love being able to share those good shows with her. Punky Brewster's shows have meaning and they are not like what is on TV these days. My daughter has come to love Punky!! **PUNKY POWER**

I brought this movie because it brought back alot of memories from my younger years. I wanted my childern to see this movie and they just love it.

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter and my 8 year old God-daughter...they of course loved it; same as i did when i was their ages. Great purchase, hope to buy the other seasons.

Excellent choice for my 6 year old little girl. She is at the same stage of playing dress-up, exploring her "options" of fun and reminds me so much of Punky with her spirit.
As good as I remember the series from my own childhood. She watches this set of DVDs almost everyday!!

I liked the fact that the seller answered all my questions that i had about the item in a very fast and timely manner and also that my item said that it would take a little over a week to arrive when in all reality it got to me three days after i had won it. I was amazed at the low price! I haven't been able to find a lower price for this item since I purchased it. The dvds were packaged without any protective padding, like bubble wraps, but for the low price, I didn't mind. The box was kind of damaged during shipping because of the loose packaging, but the DVDs played perfectly and didn't have a scratch on them. I definitely plan to buy more from this seller in the future.

It brought back a lot of childhood memories of sitting and watching Punky. I loved Punky's spunk and character. She was a great child actor.

Bought for a 5 yr old girl who very much reminds you of Punky--dressing and whole 9 yrds. She was very plese with the movies. I thought shipping could have been a little quicker. I bought way before her birthday and did not receive until 2 weeks later.

VERY FUNNY AN APPROPRIATE FOR KIDS. I LIKE THAT IT SHOWS AN ALL AMERICAN GIRL WITH NO MAKE UP, UNLIKE THESE KIDS IN THE DISNEY CHANNEL & NICKELODEON THESE DAYS. VERY HEARTWARMING AS IS FUNNY. I love this show and was looking for it forever. Now that I got it my 3 year old twin daughters are really into it also. I am SO glad I found this. I've got all 4 seasons, yay.

I bought the DVD (punky brewster)for christmas since it was my middle sisters favorite T.V. show and she wanted something for her kids to watch that was G rated and fun to watch!!

I liked the DVD because it depics a possible scenario about life using a brigt, vibrant little girl that brightens the day for a grumpy, old man. No violence or foul language is used, unlike some of today's sitcoms. This is truly a family oriented series! And funny too!
