Pump up the Volume by Original Soundtrack (CD, May-2005, MCA Records USA)

Pump Up the Volume is a hard-to-find 90s classic album of alternative rock. It features obscure recordings by some of the decades' greatest indie artists. The UK Surf version of Wave of Mutilation by the influential rockers Pixies can't be found anywhere else and is worth the purchase price alone. Another great song is Concrete Blonde's cover of Everybody Knows. It's not on their greatest hits and is another super find. With songs by indie superstars Sonic Youth and grunge gods Soundgarden, this album can't be beat. It's a wonderful altenative sampler.
